IMPORTANT NOTICE - CHANGE IN FUNDRAISING
Hi everyone, unfortunately we did not meet our Kickstarter target. But fear not - as we were prepared for this possibility we have changed our approach. We have made the decision to move from Kickstarter to Justgiving. If you have already pledged, you will not be charged from Kickstarter. More info below.
After careful consideration, we have had to make the decision to change our approach to fundraising. We will now be asking for donations via a JustGiving page, rather than Kickstarter.
Kickstarter works on an all or nothing basis – if we didn't meet our target we'd lose everything. This meant, should the fundraising was even one pound short, we would not have received anything. All our fundraising and hard work would have been for nothing. This has been a huge concern for us from the beginning; should we have been a business, Kickstarter would have been better, but as a charity, it’s not worth the devastation. The project means so much to us that we couldn't bear to be set back so much.
By moving to JustGiving, Felt the Love will receive all donations which will go towards materials, postage, packaging to ensure that there is no expense for those who receive packages, regardless of us hitting the target. This gives us a lot of leeway to get the project up and running efficiently meaning that we will be able to get memorial care packages to families and thank you packages to carers as soon as possible.
This isn't a decision that we've taken lightly, but it is one that will be the most beneficial to the project.
If you have pledged through Kickstarter, first of all, THANK YOU!! You will not be charged at any point. As Kickstarter works on a pledge basis, the money only leaves accounts IF and WHEN the target is met.
But if you do wish to continue with your donation, we are kindly asking if you would proceed to donate via the justgiving link below. It’s much more user friendly! All rewards for pledges will still be honoured! We will be in contact directly via email to anyone who has pledged with this information and a special thank you. Thank you so much for your continued support and bearing with us. We feel it’s the best way for the project to effectively come to life by making this small change. So, please support us!
