Did you know that our branch has existed for 130 years this year? ☘️

This is a membership card from c. 1910, held in the Archives of the University of Warwick, recently rediscovered by one of our members!

Hey a chairde! 👋
🇮🇪☘ Our Pop-up Gaeltacht event is coming up soon in the Denbigh Castle (just off Dale Street), Saturday 28th March ☘️🇮🇪

We'll have a few mini group activities that everyone can join in with 🧩🤖🙌 whether you're fluent, just starting on your Cúpla Focal or somewhere inbetween! 😎🤙
There'll be a nice mix to suit everyone!

Super laidback, píosa spraoi agus cúpla deoch 🥳☕🍻 whatever your level, hope to see you there!

And the CnaG raffle will be drawn on the day as well! 🎟️🎁🐣 So you still have time to get tickets off one of the teachers! We appreciate all the support as it helps CnaG Learpholl going! 🙏☘

Lá fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh from everyone at CnaGL! Have a fab day, and don’t forget to show off your cúpla focal!

Bígí linn!

To celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge, we are visiting St Nicholas’ Church Blundellsands, where Douglas Hyde married Lisa Kurtz in 1893.

Following a short talk by Danny about Hyde, we will go and get refreshments at a nearby cafe.

All welcome ☘️

Ciorcal comhrá will take place as usual after Kevin and Eoghan's classes tonight in the (newly refurbished!) shed.

Please do come along and use whatever Irish you have to start building on your conversational skills.

This week we will be bringing along some photographs that we can discuss.

Think about what you can see in the photographs and how you can use your Irish to describe them.

Perhaps the clothes somebody is wearing, whether they look happy, or what the weather is like.

The photos we will have are below, together with some phrases from the textbook "An dTuigeann Thú?" which might be useful in expanding and linking your sentences when in conversation.
Printouts will be available of the photographs and the excerpts this evening.

Bígí Linn!
