💋LETS TALK ABOUT SATURDAY💋

We have been on cloud nine after our debut of Pucker Up on Saturday and have spent the weekend trying to formulate our thoughts into one post ... so here we go!

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone we worked with through the creative process: the Angel Fields Festival and the Capstone Theatre for the opportunity to create this work, and our incredible freelancers Amy Frost, Rach Hankin and Alex Monkhouse, without you this piece would literally not exist!

It felt so incredible to be on stage in front of an audience performing our own work! This whole project was very new for us and it came with its challenges, but we’re so proud of the piece we’ve created and can’t wait to see where we can take it next. Thank you to everyone who’s supported us so far, we appreciate it loaaaads!💖

Now time for me and char to have a break and a bev before we put that ACE application in👀

introducing... "PUCKER UP"💋 In their debut performance as part of the Angel Fields Festival 2021, Bite! Theatre combine immersive practices with clowning, dance and quirky visual performance to explore popular culture and mass marketing, challenging the communication of reductive ideologies surrounding women in contemporary culture.

Join us and engage in a nuanced discussion of female empowerment, consumerism and collective liberation, and expect in your face ‘girly-ness’, grotesque burlesque, unapologetic angry feminists and the transformative powers of a woman’s bathroom.

Thank you so much to Liverpool Hope University for the opportunity to create this work, we are ecstatic and can’t wait to get back into the studio!

Happy 💜🎭 it’s been a while since we’ve been on a stage, but we are so grateful to still be making work and to be part of such an amazing industry.

(Throwback to the show that started the iconic duo 👯‍♀️)
