Another then and now comparison.

Both artworks commissioned for the same recipient.

Top one was painted 2 and a half years ago, bottom one last month.

Although I was happy with the original artwork, I really feel the sharpness in the newer work really makes it stand out more on the page than the older artwork.

Another returning customer (sort of) 😊

The recipients mother commissioned me a few years ago to paint her son’s first ever car… fast forward a few years and the son commissioned me to paint his newest car.

White on white paper isn’t the easiest thing to do but with a few subtle greys and slightest touch of blues I’ve managed to create this little beauty 😁

Following on from my last post, these two artworks have symbolic value for both the client and myself.

Painted 3 years apart, top image is Dad and Daughter attending her first ever game at Goodison Park… bottom image Mother and Daughter at her last game watching the men’s team at the stadium (they have moved to a new stadium now).

The symbolic value for myself is how much I have grown as an artist in the space of 3 years…. The improvement in My confidence and colour management to bring the image to life (in my eyes) is very evident in the newer work.

Must be doing something right to get repeat customers 😊

This artwork was a gift from daughter to mother, symbolic of theirs (and everton) last ever game for the men’s team at this historic stadium.

The daughter previously commissioned me to do her an artwork symbolic of her first game as a child to the stadium. Will be in my next post so keep an eye out for it 😁
