Join us Ebor Studio and Gallery this Thursday evening for the preview of our next exhibition, featuring the work of artist Alan Murray.

Simple objects. Everyday materials. Unexpected ideas.

Alan’s work explores how seemingly ordinary things can be questioned, understood and reimagined — from household steam iron instruction manuals and the complex world of squash, to prediction technology and his more recent series of batons, markers, bridges and covers.

His practice is rooted in curiosity, experimentation and a desire to find intrinsic clarity and strength in the things around us.

🧵 SUSTAINABLE SEWING WORKSHOP | 15th AUGUST ♻️

Join Lindsey at Ebor Studio this weekend, for the first of our FREE sustainable sewing workshops where we’ll explore how you can alter, repair and upcycle your own clothing and homewares. 💜

Whether you’ve got something sitting in your wardrobe that needs a little love, or you’re keen to learn new sewing skills, come along and get creative!

✨ 10am–2:30pm
📍 Gallery FRANK, Ebor Studio, Littleborough

Everything is provided, including sewing machines, tools and materials, so you don’t need to bring anything other than yourself and whatever you’d like to work on.

☕ Refreshments will be served throughout the session, and I encourage everyone to bring a packed lunch so we can take a 30-minute break and eat together.

👥 Only 6 spaces available per session.

💜 Please note: You can only book onto two of these workshops. We want to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to enjoy one of these FREE sessions.

We’d love to see you this weekend at Gallery FRANK as Ebor Studio member Mary Naylor returns with her latest exhibition, The People We Are Yet to Meet.

The exhibition officially opens with a Preview on Saturday 1st August from 1pm, alongside our annual Ebor Garden Party and everyone is welcome.

Before then, Mary will be hosting a FREE Children’s Portrait Workshop on Friday 31st July, 10am–12pm. There are now just a few spaces remaining, so if you’d like your child to take part, click the link below to book.

From the first workshops to the final exhibition… ✨

At the beginning of this year a selection of young creatives from Rochdale came together as part of FAB fest to explore place, memory and identity through photography, textiles and sound, working alongside artist mentors from Ebor Studio.

The result is The Motion That Makes Us – an exhibition that celebrates Rochdale’s past, present and future through the eyes of its young people.

Join us to experience it for yourself.
