The Hollycombe Steam Collection, in Liphook Hampshire (on the Sussex Border), is the largest traditional Heritage Fairground in Britain, and includes a fully working steam fairground, narrow gauge and miniature steam railways. The collection is run by volunteers who keep the Edwardian Fairground working as it did a century years ago - entertaining children and adults alike.

Hollycombe is a charity that relies on the hard work of a magnificent group of volunteers to keep it alive.

They volunteer throughout the week doing lots of different tasks.

Doing our bit for young people.

This weekend we hosted the National Traction Engine Trust apprentice program.

Hollycombe Steam in the Country hosted a group of young trainees helping them learn the skills needed to drive and maintain Traction engines.

A lovely group of youngsters that demonstrated that the next generation are dedicated and able to learn.

The youngsters got hands on right across the Fairground Extravaganza and on our many steam engines.

A thank you to the NTET for joining us and all the hardworking volunteers especially DW who made it happen.

Roll on next year and a bigger number of apprentices attending.

That's a wrap. Fairground Extravaganza 2026.

A huge thank you to everyone who came and shared a marvellous celebration 🎉 of all things fairground and showmanship.

☔🌂🌧️ The rain came on Saturday and definitely damped both the dust,spirts of both the hardy visitors and our volunteers.Thank you to all who helped.

🌞🌅⛅ Once the rain left us.The show smiled and we all enjoyed a simply brilliant time.What a weekend!

Thank you to everyone! Visitors,Engine drivers,Showman,performers,Food traders,model builders,Bar bringers🍺,organ players and of course all our amazing volunteers for making the show!

A special mention to everyone who rode the loop-o-plane it was an amazing ride it wasn't for the faint-hearted! Well ✅ done.

Keep an eye on Facebook for the 2027 show it's going to be something extra special.
