Byron Wallen, a figure of international acclaim, will perform at The Drill Lincoln on Friday 16 October, as part of ‘To Jazz Thru Life’ series, organised by Jazzcatz CIC and supported by Arts Council England 😻

Byron Wallen presents Hurricane Bells, an extraordinary work responding to Peter Shenai's five bronze bells based on the structure of Hurricane Katrina—the storm that devastated New Orleans in 2005 🎶

Byron Wallen is widely recognised as a seminal figure in jazz. He has received the BBC Jazz Innovation Award and the Paul Hamlyn Award. He has released four acclaimed albums, winning awards and nominations from the BBC and MOBO Awards 🎶

It is performed by a five-piece band of some of the UK's finest jazz musicians 😻

We’re still smiling after an unforgettable weekend celebrating the 5th Lincoln Jazz Festival in the spectacular surroundings of Lincoln Cathedral.

To everyone who joined us, performed, volunteered, supported, sponsored and helped make this year’s festival so special… thank you.

From standing ovations and incredible performances to new friendships and unforgettable moments, it’s been a weekend we’ll remember for a long time.

🎷 What a weekend it’s been…

From unforgettable performances and standing ovations to incredible musicians, wonderful audiences and the breathtaking setting of Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Jazz Festival 2026 has been everything we hoped it would be.

As our festival draws towards its finale, we wanted to share a few highlights from an amazing weekend of live music.

A huge thank you to every artist, volunteer, supporter and audience member who has helped make this year’s festival so special. You’ve created an atmosphere we’ll remember for a long time.
