🎉 WE HAVE HUGE NEWS! 🎉

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Rooted Arts CIC has been awarded a Trailblazer grant from Youth Music! 🥁✨

This project is backed by Youth Music, thanks to the National Lottery via Arts Council England.

Starting this September 2026, we’re launching a massive TWO-YEAR programme packed with creative energy! Get ready for 24 monthly Taiko drumming sessions tailored for everyone - from Tiny Taiko (ages 3–6) and Junior Taiko (ages 7–11) to Community Taiko (ages 12+) and dedicated SEND Taiko sessions. On top of that, we’re running four 7-week Songwriting courses for ages 14–17 and 18–25, annual performance opportunities to show off your skills, AND yearly CPD training sessions for our incredible volunteers and emerging Music Leaders! 🎶🔥

Full details are coming very soon - we can't wait to make some serious noise with you all! 🥳

Hey everyone! 🌿

We are so sorry for being a bit quiet lately. It’s been quite a rollercoaster for us recently with some challenging funding news to navigate - though we do have a very exciting announcement coming your way soon! On top of that, some of our team members are taking some well-deserved time off over the summer to recharge, look after family or work at festivals.

Despite the quiet, things are still buzzing behind the scenes as we look ahead and plan an amazing Autumn programme for you all!

This week, we’re hosting The Elbow Room for their brilliant 'Mini Me' craft workshop! 🤩 Celebrate what makes you unique by creating a fun, miniature 3D version of yourself using a mix of crafty materials.

Important Update: 'Play & Create' Sessions 📌

We are so sorry to share that we’ve unfortunately had to cancel our upcoming 'Play and Create' sessions at Nene Road Play Area on Tuesday 11th August and Tuesday 18th August.

Due to budget constraints and a few logistical challenges, we aren't able to move forward with these dates as planned. We know this is disappointing news, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption to your plans.

Please know we are fully committed to bringing more creative activities to Ermine West! We are already hard at work putting plans in place to make this happen as soon as we possibly can. 🎨✨

✨ Pure magic in The Arboretum! ✨

A few weeks ago we had another truly wonderful time with Marion for her Fantastic Beasts and Where to Hide Them workshop! Our fantastic creators rolled up their sleeves and used clay to bring all kinds of incredible, magical beings to life.

Huge thanks to Marion for bringing the spark once again, and to everyone who joined us for such an awesome afternoon. Keep an eye out for our next adventure!

Last week at Moorland Make Club was so much fun!

🧱✨ Huge thanks to Laura for leading such an awesome Lego printing session - it was amazing to see so many creative ideas popping up across the tables.

The family fun continues tomorrow (July 31st)! The fantastic Mel will be leading a hands-on collage workshop for parents, kids, and creators of all ages. Grab the kids, bring your imagination, and come get creative with us! ✂️🎨
