📸 BE A PART OF BOSTON’S HISTORY: Calling for your Fydell House memories! 🏛️✨

Fydell House is thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration with artist Allan Levy, and we need your help to bring it to life!

We are creating a bespoke photographic mosaic that will be permanently displayed in our beautiful garden. This stunning piece of art will celebrate our recent restoration project and will be officially revealed this summer! ☀️

To make this happen, we are looking for historic photographs, documents, and memories connected to Fydell House and its people.

What we are looking for:
🔍 The People: Portraits, wedding photographs, visitor memories, and community images 🤵👰👋
🔍 The Details: Close-up shots of the building’s architecture - doors, windows, brickwork, ironwork, timber, signage, interiors, and the garden🚪🧱🌱
🔍 The History: Old documents, drawings, building plans, tickets, event programmes, letters, or any printed ephemera📜✉️
🔍 The Hidden Gems: Photographs of interesting or quirky items tucked away in our offices or attic. Or maybe you're an artist and have created work inspired by our building? 📦🗝️

Whether it is a snapshot from a special family event held here decades ago or a close-up detail of our historic brickwork you captured on a recent walk, every single image will help us build this collective piece of history.

🌿 What a beautiful week it was at Ermine Makes! 🎨✨

We had the most wonderful time last week exploring the stunning world of Watercolour Landscapes with the incredibly talented Hannah Peacock. Seeing everyone find their flow, experiment with washes, and bring their own peaceful landscapes to life was pure joy. 🖼️🌅

🌳🎨 What a fantastic Thursday evening at Draw the Arbo! 🎨🌳

A huge thank you to the brilliant Phil Bowman for leading such an inspiring session. The energy was incredible, and we were absolutely blown away by the sheer amount of amazing creativity on display from everyone who joined us! ✨

Despite the incredibly mixed weather we’ve been having all week, the rain held off and gave us the perfect evening to create. 🌥️🙌

🎨 RAIN OR SHINE, ART IS ON! 🌧️✨

Don't let the wet forecast dampen your creativity! Saturday is going ahead as planned but we now also have the Boultham Park Bowls Pavilion as a back up, so you can stay dry while letting your imagination run wild.

Join us this Saturday 6th June (10am–2pm) and help us transform the space into a vibrant art studio for the whole family. 🙌

🌟 Mosaic Magic with RACH: Learn the beautiful, meditative art of cutting tiles and arranging them into stunning summer flowers or organic leaf patterns with professional artist RACH. 🌸🍃
🌟 Collaborative Mural with Ellie Benton: Grab a brush and team up with artist Ellie Benton! We’re all working together on a large-scale, community mural that celebrates our gorgeous local park. 🖌️🏢

📸✨ What a week! ✨📸

Our hearts are absolutely full looking back at last week! We had a packed schedule and met so many incredible people. Here is a little glimpse of the magic:
🍃 Tuesday: We caught the perfect weather for printing beautiful Cyanotypes in the Arboretum. Nature plus art is always a winning combo!
🎤 Thursday: The talent on display at our Rhythm and Reels Open Mic at the Ermine Exchange blew us away. Huge thanks to everyone who performed and supported!
🎉 Sunday: We wrapped up the week at the Birchwood Fun Day, and immense is the only word for it! It was amazing to connect with the local community.

🌟 Wow, things have been absolutely buzzing at Moorland Makers lately!

We've loved seeing so many creative, friendly faces every week - and yes, we are STILL ON over the half-term break! 🥳

Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just looking for a welcoming space to try something new, this is the perfect place to work on your own projects, share ideas, and make great friends. Bring your own craft supplies along, or dive into some of the basic materials we have available. (And yes, the kettle will be on with plenty of refreshments! ☕🍪)
