I've been re-skinning this drum for a couple of days, and I will eventually be posting a full collection of before and after photos/videos. But for now, here's a quick crash-course in tightening/tensioning your drum.

Even though we only met up yesterday for the first time in 6 years, questions have already been asked.

I'm going to try and answer them here:

FUTURE MEETINGS: We've currently agreed to carry on meeting on a monthly basis at the Bandstand in Lincoln's Arboretum until it is too cold to do so (September). The preliminary date for the next meeting is the 19th July at 1pm.

BANK ACCOUNT: I will approach the bank and the 2 account signatories and have our bank account made active again.

ROOM RENTAL: I will investigate the possibility of renting a room in Lincoln for an evening on a monthly basis and hope to have something in place by September.

DRUM COLLECTION: I'm going to sort through our extensive collection of drums that we have in storage. Any money raised by the sale of instruments will go back into the group.

NEW MEMBERS: Final note for anyone wishing to join us: You're more than welcome to do so, although currently, I'm quite limited with what spare instruments I can get down to the Arboretum.

I hope no one minds, but I'm seeing this drumming 'revival' as a new beginning.

After talking with the other members of the group earlier on, the desicion was made to rename the group 'Lincoln Drumming Circle (LDC)'.

My personal hope is, that this more generic name will help potential members to find us more easily.
