Something you don’t see every day — the Original Xbox Translucent Green Limited Edition, complete with the matching green Controller S pads and its original white limited-edition box.

Released in Europe on 2nd May 2003, this special Xbox was created to celebrate the first anniversary of the Xbox’s European launch. It originally retailed in the UK for around £149.99 and came with two matching translucent green controllers.

What makes these particularly interesting for collectors is the reported production figure of 20,000 consoles worldwide for the European run, with only around 5,000 reported as actually sold in Europe.

The translucent green shell was also very similar in appearance to the green Xbox development/debug units used by game developers at the time — although the retail consoles obviously don’t carry the “Debug Kit” markings.

And this one has the original box, two matching controllers, cables and paperwork — a fantastic piece of early-2000s UK gaming history.

Pop back Wednesday or you can leave it with the boys and they’ll happily take your name and number and Jay will get straight on it when we get back. The boys are trained up and ready to work, even better if you love anime Wyatt will chew your head off. I know how inconvenient this can be and I do apologise for it, however we do all deserve a break, hope everyone has the best weekend see you all next week 🎮‼️
