Coming up very soon is our evening with THE PRIORY BLUES BAND a highly regarded, five-piece outfit based in the north of the county.
Known for their fusion of classic American and British Blues, The Priory Blues Band will perform a repertoire spanning the blues, roots, and Americana. While doing so they will cover renowned artists like Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi and Linda Ronstadt among many others.
The group features a dynamic five-piece with a driving rhythm section, and melodic keys, virtuoso acoustic and electric guitar with soulful lead vocals.
Di, Nick, Duncan, Ray and Grahame look forward to welcoming friends old and new to the CASTLEWARD CLUB LINCOLN on Friday 30th October for what promises to be a fabulous evening of rockin’ Blues music.

BREAKING NEWS...... and it's good news too! Victory for WH**KY FLOWERS
Each year, the UK Blues Federation organises the UK Blues Challenge to choose a band or artist to represent the UK at the annual International Blues Challenge (this year in Memphis) organised by the Blues Foundation and at the annual European Blues Challenge organised by the European Blues Union (which in 2027 is being held in Vila Do Conde in Portugal)

The Challengers this year were Bison Hip, Hollie Rogers, Lightning Threads, The Wh**ky Flowers and Will Wilde ...and they went head to head on Saturday night at The Marshall Studio in Milton Keynes. We are delighted to anounce that WH**KY FLOWERS triumphed ... delighted because they're coming to play at our Club on Friday 20th November.

Don't miss it - tickets are already on sale.... Only £14 advance ...and BISON HIP will be here on Friday 28th May next year

Reflecting on the current situation as you will probably seen it has been decided to re-schedule and thereby defer the beginning of our new season. Our first event will therefore be on Friday 23rd October when three bands will feature in a Club Night at the Castleward Club - CUSTERS LAST BAND, AFTERTHOUGHT and DDH UNPLUGGED.... and the following week will be with THE PRIORY BLUES BAND. Hoochie Coochie Club sends congratulations to The Wh**ky Flowers, winners of the UK Blues Challenge 2026!
We're pleased to confirm Wh**ky Flowers will be appearing at Castle Ward Club on the 20th November 2026 - more details to follow
In one of the closest results ever seen at the UK Blues Challenge,
the sell out crowd on Saturday saw five bands - Wh**ky Flowers, Will Wilde, Lightning Threads, Bison Hip and Hollie Rogers on top of their game separated by the closest of margins. The top four acts were separated by only three points!
Look out for more information about the gig over the next few weeks
