This coming Friday 19th June is our third and final Launch event in our attempt to establish a Blues/ Blues-Rock Club in Lincoln.

THE STEALER is our headline act at Castleward Club Lincoln. The band delivers a faithful, electrifying tribute to Free - capturing the groove, restraint and blues-generated power that made them legends.
For the Lincoln gig the band will feature the amazing talent of Steve Foulston, guitarist and singer from Hull based band Absolute Free.......with the authentic Koss style guitar playing of Josh Shaw ...... reinforced with the solid, punchy back line from Andy Truscott on Bass and Richard Drakes on Drums.

SOFT SHOE SAM completes the bill. He's been around for a long while, singing and playing various instruments - guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo and ukelele - whilst honing his craft into the fine art we hear today.
Prepare yourselves for a relentless stream of humorous asides.
SOFT SHOE SAM has been described as "a stunning performer and a bit of a throwback" so catch him while you can!
It promises to be a good night.

Admission is FREE if you join our Club as a member for £15 per year. Otherwise its £6 (£5 for members who should give their Membership number on the door)
Remember that we can only accept cash payments. However, you can pay for your drinks using a card at the magnificent Castleward Club bar with its wonderful selection and unbeatable prices.

SOFT SHOE SAM
"If he wasn't born in the Delta he damn' well should've been!" declared the organiser of the "Cornucopia Festival" Peter Robinson the first time he heard Soft Shoe Sam playing a live set. And sure, when you hear the powerful, swooping, sliding, diving Bottleneck Slide guitar sounds he produces, you could be forgiven for thinking that he actually was!
But there is also such an up-to-date sound and feel to Soft Shoe Sam's fingerpicked guitar and impassioned vocals that it is hard to say in which era he sits best!
The answer is: Right here and Right now!
Soft Shoe Sam has been around for a long while, singing and playing various instruments - guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo and ukelele - whilst honing his craft into the fine art we hear today.
Word is getting around as he delights audiences with his "no nonsense, no ego" approach to his performances.
Some might call it "basic".... while Sam says "it's just the music, pure and simple...get on stage, play the Blues and enjoy yourself... and hopefully the audience will enjoy it too!"

We urgently need some help please to publicise our next gig on Friday19 June.

"The Lincoln Independent" is a wonderful blessing for our city but in the current issue there is no mention of the actual acts which will appear for us at the Castleward Club.

So please do all you can to let the worls know that our evening features THE STEALER and SOFT SHOE SAM.
Admission is £6 (£5 for members). Alternatively, people might choose to join our Club as members in which case the only money needed is £15 for an anuual subscription.

Doors are at 7.00pm

Make sure you don't miss our first ever SPEAKEASY NIGHT tonight - Friday 29th May - these evenings are always a cocktail of guaranteed enjoyment and the unpredictable!
We're confident that you'll enjoy the accomplished four-piece CUSTERS LAST BAND - they will make extensive use of their experience to draw on material from the Blues and Blues-Rock of the last 50 years and they never cease to please......
Joining them will be a number of musicians who have taken the opportunity to show us what they can do by walking through the open door our Club has provided for them.... Sit back and enjoy what they have to offer
