"Relax or do something that cheers you up".... He said

So I got two lessons ready to finish planning and one skirt to make (for myself)

And what did I do? Drive around Midlands for most of the day, to get more stock 🤣

Hopefully you are as excited as we are. John will unpack and take photos tomorrow. Watch the space 😁

📦 How many fabric storage boxes can you fit in one photograph? How many fabric boxes does Dagmar need in her life? 😂

These fabulous fabric storage boxes are the project we'll be making tomorrow (Saturday 6th June, 2-5pm) at The Fabric Vault.

Perfect for sewing supplies, knitting projects, craft materials, toiletries, toys, or simply organising those bits and pieces that never seem to have a proper home!

During this 3-hour lesson you'll learn how to create a sturdy, structured fabric box using stabilisers, accurate construction techniques, and binding for a neat professional finish.

✨ Finished size approximately 10" x 10" x 7" high

✨ Choose your own fabrics from our shop

✨ All materials included

✨ Use one of our sewing machines or bring your own if you prefer

✨ Friendly, small-group tuition

This lesson is ideal for confident sewers who are comfortable using a sewing machine independently and would like to learn new techniques while creating something both beautiful and practical.

Perfect if your sewing machine has been sitting in a cupboard, you've recently bought one, or you'd simply like to understand it better. We'll cover threading, winding a bobbin, tension, stitches, and all those mysterious bits and pieces that often leave people scratching their heads.

✨ Get to Know Your Sewing Machine 2 – Handling Fabrics
Ready to move beyond the basics? Learn how to guide fabric smoothly, improve accuracy, sew curves and corners with confidence, and feel more in control at the machine.
