The Fuse Festival is the flagship event of Lichfield Arts, a charity that for the past 40 years has worked to deliver a vision of a community where anyone can create, experience and be inspired by the arts. Fuse was originally set up in 2001 to provide live music in a free setting that would be accessible to all. Fuse has grown beyond these humble beginnings in a small tent near Stowe Pool into on

e of the largest events of its kind. It presents a fabulous eclectic mix of live music, DJ sets, dance, spoken word, family activities, food and drink. Although so much has changed, the core values and objectives remain the same: the Lichfield Arts' Fuse team works hard to provide opportunities for everyone to access a wide variety of live music and the arts, and is particularly passionate about giving new up and coming local performers a platform. And, despite funding pressures, Fuse remains a free event, something the team remains immensely proud of

15,300 people. 3 days. Free entry. ❤️

The numbers tell an impressive story, but they only tell part of it.

Fuse creates opportunities for artists and emerging talent, gives volunteers the chance to contribute and develop new skills, and gives our community a place to come together and experience great music and arts without the barrier of a ticket price.

This year that meant 37 hours of free live music, 115 free activities, 289 performers, 31 emerging artists and 130 volunteers, who contributed more than 1,500 hours over the weekend.

And none of it happens alone.

Huge thanks to everyone who helps make Fuse possible.

Lichfield Festival of Folk is bringing its brilliant Folk on the Farm event back to Woodhouse Farm & Garden CIC for its 4th year, on Sunday 20 September.

Expect a proper day out in the countryside, with live folk music, farm animals, good food and drink, and plenty to keep the family entertained. 🐄🐖🐓
