We are delighted to announce we've got through to the semi-finals of the Midlands Choir of the Year! We are very excited 🤩

WE HAVE NEWS...!

With huge thanks to ALL the choirs/groups who entered this year's Midlands Choir of the Year Competition (sponsored by the wonderful team at Rayburn Tours), we are delighted to announce that the following choirs/groups have been invited to sing in our semi-finals (in alphabetical order):

CONGRATULATIONS to all of our semi-finalists! And, our sincere thanks too to all those who entered and weren't successful this year: as always, we loved listening to your entries, and we hope to hear from you again in 2028.

We will announce our Finalists here in the w/c May 11th, and those choirs/groups will then join us for the MCOTY 2026 FINAL on Sunday July 12th 2026 in Lichfield Cathedral as part of the 2026 Lichfield Festival (tickets on General Sale from April 23rd).

Nearly time to restart rehearsals! We are back at the Hub on 9th September at 7:30pm. If you are (or know) a bass or tenor who would like to join us, please get in touch by email (see our page profile) and join us at our rehearsals on 9th and 16th September, prior to a relaxed audition. Thanks to our wonderful members who organised, hosted, helped set up, cooked and baked for our end of year BBQ. Much fun (and food) was had by everyone who attended. We are taking a break until September, when we will return with new energy and a new programme!

Fantastic concert on Friday night, with masterful conducting by Benjamin Hamilton, accompanied by the talented Colin Lapus on piano and a guest appearance by oboist Will Sherratt. The concert was warm in every way!
