Fradley Community Choir

Fradley Community Choir Founded in 2011, Fradley Community Choir is open to anyone who would like to sing with others In 2011 local villagers and pupils of St. Stephen’s Church.

Stephen’s Primary School joined together to celebrate 150 years since the consecration of St. The villagers so enjoyed singing the concert that they expressed the desire to continue singing together and so Fradley Community Choir was formed. Fradley Community Choir is open to anyone who would like to sing with others. As long as you can sing in tune you do not need to read music, though it is help

ful. No audition is required. At present the Choir is requiring male singers, both tenor and bass. The Choir performs a minimum of 2 concerts a year and occasionally more when invited. In the past it has performed at Alrewas Arts Festival, Elford Walled Garden, Lichfield Guild Hall (in aid of the NSPCC ) and St. Stephen’s Church, Fradley. It also organises fund raising events such as a quiz evening to raise funds to pay for sheet music etc. Members meet weekly on a Tuesday evening in Fradley Church at 7.30pm for usually 1 hour. It sings many types of music from traditional folk songs, songs from musicals, classic pop songs and religious songs.

Our friendly community choir is looking for a 𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 to join us on 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 (𝟳:𝟯𝟬–𝟴:𝟰𝟱𝗽𝗺) while our usual accompanist is temporarily unavailable.

September will soon be upon us when FCC begins it's singing year. Why don't you consider joining us? We meet in St. Stephens Church Fradley on Tuesdays (first rehearsal is Tuesday 2 September). Tenors and Basses are particularly invited. Contact [email protected] for more details.

Also the quiz night is on Saturday 20 September at 7.30pm in Fradley Village Hall. Teams of up to 6 persons are permitted. The ticket price of £14 includes a fish and chip supper.
