The view of Penhill from the shawl in Leyburn is iconic here but I realised I hadn't painted it in awhile so I did a large piece which is still drying. However a slightly smaller print is now available (apx 650mm x 500mm including the frame) for £295. The perfect way to have a piece of Wensleydale all of your own

‘Youthful Greens of Spring’

I haven’t painted this view in a while and following a sketching morning where the weather was changeable along with the light I though it was about time I committed it to oils again. Still very much in the sticky stage, hence the jaunty angle!

Wanted to continue with the larger strokes of paint with my next subject, Penhill from the shawl which i haven't painted in awhile and certainly not on this scale

Took my sketchbook and paint out this afternoon while it was sunny and despite being surprised by a noisy lamb and dealing with ants, it was a nice way to end the day
