As part of Sussex Craft Week 2026, we are launching two CRAFT TOWNS - Arundel and Alfriston. We are looking for the region's top professional makers - in wood, glass, textiles, jewellery, print, heritage skills and metal - for showcases of excellence.

Our partner curators are also looking for skilled craftsmen and women for Studio Safaris, exhibitions and events.

📢 Applications are open for the second edition of Sussex Craft Week to be held 20-28 June 2026 in venues across East and West Sussex.
🏛️ We welcome applications from all our amazing museums + galleries, makers + curators, and course providers.
📖 The curated programme includes exhibitions, craft courses, open workshops, studio safaris, talks, storytelling, tours, clubs and more..
🏢 New for this year are two initiatives: Craft Towns and MarketPlace events with more details to follow.

Instagram takeover! 👋 Ceramicist Tanya Gomez, one of the Sussex Craft Week 2025 finalists, is taking a trip to China to take part in the Taoxichuan Autumn Fair. 

The ceramic and folk art fair is on from 17 – 19 October and over the next few days she’ll be posting live from her trip.

After exhibiting at the fair, she’ll take a one-day cultural tour around Jingdezhen, to observe tile production, large kilns, and unique throwing techniques. 

Then she’ll join a three-day tour to Longquan, a town renowned for its celadon glazes. She has a particular interest in this area, as she also uses celadon glazes in her own practice.

Finally, she’ll visit various residencies and institutes within the city, with the aim of building connections that could encourage future student exchanges or collaborative opportunities.
