New Printmaking and Bookbinding course starting at Paddock Studios 13th January.
If you've ever fancied giving printmaking a go, then this course should be at the top of your Christmas List!!
The course is a creative exploration of bookbinding and printmaking techniques focusing on book structure, print skills and artistic expression through books. We will explore creative approaches to accordion books and Japanese stab binding, covering skills in stitching, hard covers, folding, windows and using both sides of each book page. We will use linocut and mono-printing techniques to create end papers, book covers and create visual journeys through books. This course is suitable for beginners and students with some previous bookbinding or printmaking experience.

Liz K Miller is a British interdisciplinary artist and researcher. She works at the intersection of sound and imagery, exploring the listening experience through visual diagramming, scoring and drawing. Her making techniques include printmaking, bookbinding, natural dye, cyanotype and field recording, which combine to create installations, works-on-paper, artist’s books and audio-visual presentations. She is thrilled to begin teaching at Paddock Studio in Lewes. Liz lives in Lewes with her family and is delighted to be part of this fantastic community of artists.
