Trump must be one of Peter Evans Studios Limited's best customers. Look at all that vac-form. Araba Ocran, did you apply the Dutch metal?

As the title suggests, this is a Trilogy of interconnected novels. In my opinion, it is a masterpiece. The reason I draw your attention to it, is because the third novel, 'The Lyre of Orpheus' includes wonderful, detailed, insightful, and highly entertaining description of the creation of a new opera. Any of you who have been involved with the birth of a play, musical, or opera will, I'm sure, enjoy recognising the nature of that process. One could just read the third novel but I recommend you resist that temptation and read the entire Trilogy. You will not regret it. Well, unless you are a modern endorphin j***y, permanently attached to the mediocrity screaming from the smartphone.

Well, I was wondering what film.to watch this evening. Of course, it has to be 'Shirley Valentine'.

Collaborated with the marvellous Claire Sanderson to turn a bought cardboard coffin into something a bit more substantial but still very light, as it will be manoeuvred by ballet dancers. Shortened and then clad in 4mm ply, with a ply and foam sandwich lid.
Then Claire performed her magic with vinyl and stud work.
Next day I knocked up a pair of coffin trestles. All very rushed so had to use what I could find in the workshop. The steel tubing was a load I rescued from a dismantled sofa bed.

This summer Pat and I worked with the very exciting, amiable and collaborative Frantic Assembly company. We designed, built and rigged a tilting platform for their show 'Lost Atoms'. Thank you Hugh Borthwick, at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, for recommending us.

I learnt a little interesting something from my french Glyndebourne tenor lodger today. I asked him if the French theatre has an equivalent to our "Break a leg". He replied that they say "M***e", and explained that it came from way back when the audience would arrive at the theatre in carriages and a great deal of horse 'm***e' on the road at the theatre entrance meant a large audience and healthy box office receipts.
