✨The fabulous musical adventures of the Mikeleiz-Zucchi Duo✨

The Mikeleiz-Zucchi Duo presents a programming spanning 400 years of music, from the dance works of 16th century composer Michael Praetorius to brand new works from award-winning composers Roxanna Albayati and Robin Haigh. Along the way, we'll hear music from famous crossover composers including George Gershwin, Astor Piazzolla, and Chick Corea. This exciting and varied programme will showcase familiar music like you've never heard it before, and introduce you to brand new sound worlds.

By rounding up your ticket price from £8 to £10, your presence will also be helping a wonderful charity chosen by the performers themselves - runs community-building creative programmes for young people seeking asylum.

Meet tonight’s musicians, Olivia Petryszak and Georgia Morgan Turner! .creates

Born and raised in Cambridge, Olivia Petryszak currently is in her fourth year of study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Ian Wilson, whilst also studying as a contract student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Jorge Isaac. Performances include ENO’s Olivier award-nominated production of Noye’s Fludde, recording for Disney at Abbey Road and performances at Sound Unbound Festival 2019. She has had several composers write for her - most recently James Allen’s piece “Home Improvements”, premiered in April 2021.

Georgia Morgan Turner: Georgia is a guitarist, composer and artist from North London, whose practice centres around instinct and improvisation, collaboration and cross arts fusion. Through songwriting she tells stories drawn from her rich inner-world of folklore and mythology and her 'subtly intense' original music has been performed on stages across the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall and Barbican Centre. Georgia also performs in a wide range of bands and ensembles, playing jazz, folk, indie-rock and contemporary music. An alumnus of Aldeburgh Young Musicians, she is currently studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

CHAMBER MUSIC IN ART #5 – FRUITIONS OF A BLENDED CULTURE 🖼

For our 5th recital of Chamber Music in Art's inaugural season, we welcome recorder player, Olivia Petryszak, and guitarist/singer, Georgia Morgan Turner, in collaboration with artists from Lewes's very own Chalk Gallery.

At a time where we need to embrace acceptance more than ever, "Fruitions of a Blended Culture" presents arrangements of songs and pieces from the renaissance to the 21st Century. With repertoire from across Europe and the Middle-East, the programme embraces the blending of cultures that has occured over the last several hundred years.

Throughout the performance, artwork by artists from the Chalk Gallery will be created live in the space, based on the music.

GEORGIA MORGAN TURNER – Guitar & Voice

Curated by Olivia Petryszak (recorder), and co-arranged by Olivia and Georgia Morgan Turner (guitar, voice).

The performers are students at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
