We are closed on Mondays. Mareel Cafe Bar is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 10am to 9pm (or when the last film of the evening goes in) and Friday and Saturday 10am to 11pm. Our food menu is served until 5pm (bar snacks are available all day). Mareel is the UK's most northerly music, cinema and creative industries centre. Owned and operated by Shetland Arts, Mareel provides a year round programme of cinema, live, music, education, and other performance events. It is a hub and a focus for the creative communities not just in Shetland, but beyond, and a catalyst for the creative industries sector. Mareel has:
- A live performance auditorium
- Two cinema screens
- Rehearsal rooms
- A state-of-the-art recording studio
- A digital media production suite
- Education & training spaces
- Broadcast facilities
- A Cafe Bar
- Free high-speed wifi access

🎭Shetland Youth Theatre: Moving On!

Shetland Youth Theatre (SYT) is a year-long programme designed for young people aged 12-19, who are curious about acting, storytelling, and what happens behind the scenes of theatre productions.

🤔We asked some of our previous students to tell us about their time at SYT over the years, before they head off on new adventures.
