🎩 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 🍫

We’re ready to step inside the weird and wonderful world of W***y Wonka, bringing you a version unlike any other! Expect plenty of One Vision magic as we put our own creative stamp on this incredible story 🍬 ✨

Audition workshops are about to begin, and as always, alongside working towards our main production, our students will also be busy rehearsing for fundraisers, showcases, festivals and other exciting events throughout the year — as well as our Dreamers taking to the stage for Annie JR this December!

Our 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 have achieved fantastic results, with Distinctions across:

🎭 Grade 5 Musical Theatre & Acting

🎭 Grade 7 Acting & Musical Theatre
🌟 Grade 8 Acting & Musical Theatre

And to make the achievement even more exciting, Grades 6–8 also contribute valuable UCAS points, making these qualifications an incredible addition to their future academic journeys. 🎓✨

This is Annie’s first year teaching LAMDA at 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, and what an incredible first year it has been! Every single student achieved a 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in their Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 and Grade 1 exams. What an achievement! 👏🏼🏆

These results are a testament to the students’ hard work & dedication. We couldn’t be prouder! ❤️

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲...

Today we started with some drama games and activities before choosing which pieces the students wanted to share with families. We then rehearsed and refined their performances, putting everything they had learnt throughout the week into practice.

We finished the day with the performance, and I couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them 🤩

It has been such a fantastic week, and I have loved watching the students grow in confidence, become more comfortable, and push themselves beyond their comfort zones. Seeing their progress has been truly amazing. ✨

We already have some exciting plans for next summer, so keep an eye out for updates! 🤩

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿...

Today we worked on a scene from Mean Girls, applying everything the students learnt in Tuesday’s acting session, focusing on characterisation, energy, and performance skills.
We then learnt “Apex Predator” from Mean Girls, developing harmonies and giving the groups the opportunity to create their own choreography.

We finished the afternoon working on “Six” from Six, learning the song and choreography and bringing everything together as a group.

I am so proud of everyone today for giving everything a go, even when they weren’t feeling overly confident with the harmonies, song, or choreography. Everyone stepped outside of their comfort zone, showed great teamwork, and embraced the challenge. ✨

Our Musical Theatre sessions continue throughout the summer.... because we can't possibly have six weeks without any theatre! 🤣 ☀️✨

Last week, we learnt choreography to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”, and this week our Dreamers worked on “Freak Flag” from Shrek.
Our Wildcats & Ozians took on a group challenge — learning a song in just one hour before performing it back to the group! A fantastic challenge that tested their teamwork, creativity, and performance skills. 🤩

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲...

Today we started with some improvisation exercises before Morgan taught choreography to “Ex-Wives” from Six and “One Shot” from Hamilton.

Everyone worked incredibly hard and did such a fantastic job learning the routines 🤩

A HUGE THANK YOU to Morgan for sharing his expertise, creativity, and passion with us this week!

We look forward to welcoming him back next year for some exciting plans! 🤩✨

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝘄𝗼... 😍

We started the day with a scene from Newsies, focusing on building tension, energy, and passion throughout the scene.
Working in groups of five, the students staged the scene themselves, thinking about their vocal and physical choices in character and placement and levels in the space. Each group received feedback and had time to develop and improve their work before showing us their finished product 🤩

We then worked on “Seize the Day” from Newsies, learning how to blend their voices through two-part harmonies.

We finished the day with “School Song” from Matilda, learning the lyrics, focusing on the rhythm and adding in the choreography 🤩

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗻𝗲 🤩

What a fantastic day!

After some team-building exercises, we welcomed Morgan, who taught the students routines to “One Short Day” from Wicked and “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman.
Morgan finished his session with a fantastic Q&A, giving the students the opportunity to ask questions about his experiences and journey.

We then ended the day with a fun and competitive game of the Lifeboat Challenge.

Our 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 begins next week, and we can't wait! 🤩
