The “Keep On Rockin’ Choir” was formed in May 2024 in Leighton Buzzard for likeminded people who enjoy socialising and singing some of the pop and rock and roll songs from the 1950s, 1960s and maybe some 1970s ones that might occasionally creep in.

Yesterday we celebrated the Choir's 2nd birthday.

Such a joy, and a great achievement by wonderful people getting together to sing and entertain people in Care Homes, Residential Retirement Communities and for charity fundraising events.
Here's to another fun year of music and friendship.

Yesterday saw the choir back at Leighton Rose Care Home for another enjoyable concert.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the songs, and lots of folk joining in with us.
We hope that everyone had a good time, and we hope to be back again later in the year.
Our next concert open to the public will be at The Brooklands Social Club in LB on Wednesday 1st July at 2.00pm hosted by Jazz Up Your Life, and will be open to the public with a small entry fee.
Hope to see lots of people there.

Good morning everyone, here is another video from last Saturday's Charity concert at Newton Longville.

We have just heard from the organisers that the evening raised a staggering £2,740.25 from ticket sales and the raffle. Well done everyone.

Thank you so much to everyone who attended and helped us to raise so much money for this very worthwhile cause.

The choir is a community non-fee charging group but sometimes concert venues do make contributions towards our chosen charity funds, and on this occasion, the choir donated £300 towards the funds raised.

Thank you also to all the wonderful volunteers who helped to organise the evening, arrange the hall, tables and seating and run the bar and prepare and hand out the refreshments.

Good evening everyone,

What a great evening we had yesterday at Newton Longville singing for the Cancer Research Charity. The hall was filled to capacity and everyone seemed to be having a great time singing along with the choir. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves, we certainly did.

Here's a couple of videos (what do you think of our alternative version of Delilah?) from the concert last night and more will follow during the week. Thank you for these Bob.

We'll let you know how much money was raised last night later in the week when the organisers let us know, but we think the night beat last year's total.

Back to normal Wednesday rehearsals now for the choir with a new set list to work on for the upcoming concerts in May and June.

Good morning everyone and we hope you are all keeping well.

Yesterday saw the choir performing for the lovely residents at Thorn Springs Care Home in Houghton Regis again. Everyone there seemed to have fun and sang along with the choir and it was an absolute pleasure to have been invited back there again.

We hope that everyone has bought their tickets for our forthcoming concert at Longueville Hall in Newton Longville on Saturday 11th April at 7.00pm in aid of cancer research.

Ticket cost will include refreshments, and there will be a raffle, so bring along some cash as well.

This is a fund raising event for a very worthwhile charity so please help us support this evening and tell your friends and families to come along.

Good evening folks, today was choir Rehearsal day, and we ran through songs for our upcoming concerts on 1st and 11th April.
An interesting afternoon as our lovely drummer Graham has been ill and couldn't make it today so Choirmaster Mike brought his keyboard along and we used the built in drum machine to play along with.
"Roland" the drum machine had no suitable rhythm for Delilah, so Mike had the inspired idea to use a Latin inspired Santana rhythm instead which made for a brilliant alternative version of Delilah ( not sure what Tom Jones would have made of it).
Hopefully Graham will have recovered in time for the concert next Wednesday at Thorn Springs Care Home in Houghton Regis.
Don't forget to buy your tickets for the concert on Saturday 11th at Newton Longville which is open to the general public and is in aid of Cancer Research.

Another excellent concert this afternoon at Laburnum Court Retirement Community in Leighton. Always a lovely and enthusiastic singalong crowd, thank you for having us back to sing for you all.
In case anyone is wondering, choir member Eddie who was taken ill during the perforce has fully recovered and is fine. Thank you all for you concern.

We hope you're all well and having a fantastic weekend.
Tuesday saw us at Astral Park Pavilion in Leighton Buzzard singing for Tibbs Dementia Foundation.
A lovely group of people all singing along with the choir and several dancing. We've been asked to go back in June which we'll look forward to.
This Wednesday we're returning to Laburnum Court Independent Living Retirement Community in Leighton for another joyous song filled session with their lovely residents, always an enthusiastic singalong crowd.
Then we'll be concentrating on a new two set concert list for our upcoming Cancer Research Charity Concert at Longueville Hall in Newton Longville on 11th April.
This is open to the general public with tickets on sale now at £8 which includes refreshments.
Please tell your relatives and friends to come along and support this very worthwhile charity fundraising event.
