As we approach the end of our Spring Term, we are so excited to officially announce the dates for our Summer 2026 show. This year is a very special one for Beacon Arts and we can’t wait to share all of the details with you very soon.

Tis the season to be jolly! 🎅🏼🎄

We have had a brilliant Autumn term this year and are feeling very lucky for all of your support and kindness.

As we head into Christmas Day and the New Year, we want to thank you all for sharing your joy of dancing with us and enabling us to create some lasting festive memories. Right through to our adult classes, we have learned some repertoire from the Nutcracker, danced many Christmas dances and even made time for some festive mimes and activities with our youngest dancers.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you can create some wonderful memories with your loved ones.

We have had such an amazing time with Bring a Friend Week! Thank you so much to everyone who came along to class and demonstrated all of our school values so spectacularly. Your kindness and enthusiasm made it such a fun week for us all.

Happy World Ballet Day! 🩰

❤️ Bring a Friend Week - November 10th-16th ❤️

Celebrate Anti-Bullying Week with us!

At Beacon Arts Dance School, we believe dance should be a safe space for everyone; a place where every dancer should feel supported, valued, and inspired to shine.

In honour of Anti-Bullying Week, we’re hosting a special Bring a Friend Week from the 10th-16th November!

This is the perfect opportunity to share the joy of dance with your friends - invite them to join us in class, experience our warm and welcoming community, and see just how fun and positive dance can be!

What to Know:
* 🩰 All students are welcome to bring one or more friends to their classes next week.
* 👯‍♀️ Friends of all experience levels are invited - no prior knowledge is required.
* 👗 Friends can wear any comfortable clothing they can move around in - no uniform or dance shoes are necessary.
* ❤️ Together, we will celebrate Friendship, Kindness and Inclusion.

We can’t wait to meet everyone’s friends and share the magic of dance with them!

Thank you all for such a great start to our Autumn Term! I’m so proud of how hard everyone has worked and adjusted to the new changes.

We are now off for our short half-term break. We can’t wait to see everyone back in classes from the 3rd of November!

We have absolutely loved hosting our classes at The Studio for the last 10 years, but it’s time for us to take a big leap into some new venues for September. Miss Steph and Miss Lisa have been working hard to find us a new dance space and are very excited to introduce you all to our venues for the next academic year. These halls all have great facilities including bigger dance spaces and we can’t wait to share them with you all.

There’s now just 7 days until we kick off our Autumn Term.

We are very excited to be offering so many class options for you all this term! Please feel free to take a look and see what we have available. We have made a few tweaks to the schedule, so don’t forget to double check the time before you attend. Our full timetable is now available to view on our Class for Kids page. Introducing Me 👋

Following our recent news, I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself ☺️

Hi, my name is Steph and I am the new principal for our wonderful school, Beacon Arts Dance.

I began my training with the school at the young age of 3, and have attached myself to Miss Lisa’s side ever since. She showed me the joy of dance and helped turn my childhood love into my career. Around the age of 12 I announced an interest in teaching and Lisa took me under her wing guiding me every step of the way.

As a young teen I was given the opportunity to take on the infamous role as the “Saturday Slave” (Teaching Assistant), gaining a valuable insight into the world of teaching. I took every opportunity given to me becoming the designated exam helper and picking up any little jobs and as many extra classes as I could.

As I grew older I gained my GCSE and A-Level in dance, progressing into my training at the University of Lincoln. There I gained a 1st class degree in BA (Hons) Dance and an award for my dissertation into Disabilities within Dance. During this time, I also worked towards achieving my Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching with the IDTA, and am currently studying to achieve my DDE qualifications with the ISTD.

I have been officially teaching my own classes with Beacon Arts since I graduated in 2020 and absolutely love getting to share my passion for dance with all your lovely children. I currently teach Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, and Creative Movement classes to children all across Beds and Bucks.

I have been heavily committed to this career path from such a young age, and know I can continue to show the same passion and dedication as I now enter this next stage of my journey. I’m so grateful to you all for attending classes and helping make this dream a reality!

✨⭐️ Exciting Updates! ⭐️✨

Hi everyone,

As many of you will now be aware, we are undergoing a change of management at Beacon Arts Dance School. After nearly 40 amazing years running our dance school, the wonderful Miss Lisa is starting her new adventure into retirement and Miss Steph will be stepping up as our new principal.

So what does this mean for us?

Thankfully Miss Lisa has done an excellent job establishing our school and creating a friendly and welcoming space we are all so proud to call our home. As a result, Miss Steph hopes to make as few changes as possible. Our core values of hosting an inclusive, nurturing environment for our dancers will always remain and we hope to continue providing the best dance education possible for you and your children.

What’s New:
* An exciting rebrand for the face of the school - you may see our new logo popping up around the place a bit more!
* New venues - we are so excited to share our new locations for our classes. We will be announcing our 2025-2026 timetable and our venues in the coming weeks.
* New contact details - Miss Lisa has done a fabulous job running all the school’s admin, but we feel it’s time to give her a well-earned break. * New website - Our team are going to be working hard over the Summer break to design our brand new website, giving you the most up to date information and access to our services. Feel free to take a peak https://beaconarts.dance.

We hope to keep as much of the Beacon Arts we all know and love the same, we’re just giving it a new home and a small refresh to kick-start the next chapter in its story.
