WHAT A NIGHT!!!

The Cyberpunk TCG Beta officially hit the tables at Limited Edition last night and… holy sh*t, chooms. What an event!!

Eight mercs entered Night City for our sold out Beta Event, and we genuinely couldn't have asked for a better group to kick off Cyberpunk TCG at the Tavern.

A massive THANK YOU to every single person who came down, cracked open a Beta Kit and spent the evening discovering this brand-new game alongside us 😁

It was especially brilliant seeing some new faces around the Tavern. We really hope you enjoyed your first visit and, more importantly, that we'll see you back around the tables again soon!

And of course, we've got to give a shout-out to our top three mercs! 🏆

WELCOME TO NIGHT CITY CHOOMS!!

Tonight we're running our very first Cyberpunk Trading Card Game Beta Event here at Limited Edition: The Tabletop Tavern and I genuinely cannot believe how quickly this thing SOLD OUT.

When we first announced on the Discord server that we'd managed to get our hands on the Beta Event Kits, we knew there were a few people around the Tavern who were interested.

Apparently “a few” was a bit of an understatement 😅

🔥 8 seats.🔥 8 Beta Event Kits.🔥 Every single place taken.

And tonight, those eight players are going to be amongst the first to jack into the game, crack open their Beta kits, build their decks and start figuring out exactly what the hell the Cyberpunk TCG can do.

For us, that's bloody exciting.

There's something special about getting in right at the beginning of a brand-new game. When nobody has everything figured out yet, nobody knows what the nastiest combinations are, and everyone's discovering it together around the table.

And we get to do exactly that TONIGHT. 💛

A massive thank you to everyone who showed interest, everyone who grabbed a seat and everyone who's been talking about the game since we first announced it.

Night City has officially arrived at the Tavern.

We'll be taking plenty of photos tonight, so expect a proper look at the Beta Event, the kits, the decks and hopefully some very happy chooms hitting the socials soon!

Now there's only one thing left to do...

🐍💀 COMMANDER SPOTLIGHT - ZAXARA, THE EXEMPLARY 💀🐍

It's Commander Night at the Tavern, and tonight's Spotlight belongs to something with far too many heads and absolutely no respect for reasonable numbers...

Zaxara, the Exemplary!

At first glance, Zaxara already looks pretty tasty. Four mana, Deathtouch, and taps for TWO mana of any one colour. Then you read the last bit.

Every time you cast an X spell, Zaxara makes you a Hydra with X +1/+1 counters on it. Oh. Oh no. 😂

Suddenly all those massive X-cost spells aren't just doing something horrible. They're also dropping an equally massive Hydra onto the battlefield for your trouble.

🐍 Ramp into ridiculous amounts of mana
💀 Sling enormous X spells around the table
🌊 Play with the wonderfully filthy Sultai colour combination
📈 Make Hydras that rapidly stop using sensible numbers
😈 Find increasingly questionable ways to make X = absolutely bloody loads

And because Zaxara itself produces two mana, your Commander is actively helping fuel the nonsense it rewards.

It's big mana. It's Hydras. It's X-spells. It's the sort of deck where someone asks “How big is that?” and immediately regrets asking.

It's Sunday, the dice are ready and D&D Junior is back at the Tavern this afternoon!

We are one DM down today, but that's not going to stop our young adventurers from getting around the tables. Instead, we'll be doing something a little different! ⚔️

Some of our players will be guest starring at the other tables, jumping into another adventure for the afternoon and helping us keep everyone playing while their usual DM is away. 😁

Different party. Different adventure. Same questionable decision-making. 😂

And for anyone who's been thinking about getting their young adventurer into D&D, new players are always welcome. Our tables are age-bracketed and kept to a maximum of six players, so everyone gets the chance to actually play, get involved and have their voice heard.

It's Commander Night at the Tavern, and tonight we're heading into mono-black territory with a Vampire commander who does things a little differently...

🩸Timothar, Baron of Bats! 🩸

Forget simply flooding the board with Vampires. Timothar wants them to die.

Whenever one of your nontoken Vampires bites the dust, Timothar can exile it and leave behind a 1/1 flying Bat in its place. Get that Bat through for combat damage and your fallen Vampire comes straight back to the battlefield!

That opens the door to some wonderfully nasty mono-black shenanigans:

🦇 Sacrifice your Vampires for value
🩸 Turn their deaths into evasive little Bat tokens
⚰️ Bring them back and abuse those ETB/death triggers all over again
💀 Pack the deck with black's ridiculous sacrifice, recursion and removal tools

And with Ward - Discard a Card, even getting rid of the Baron himself comes with a price.

It's Vampire tribal with a proper graveyard twist. And most importantly...
