I make it as pain free as possible... promise! ✨️
Did you know that all of our sessions finish with a consistent ending.
1. Tidy up time! yes 100% totally expected we all help and join in. As an intimate play space we really model care, love and respect of each other and the space and equipment. No, theres no expectation to know where everything goes. Things don't live on the floor though! Some play places promote and may be proud they don't ask you to help to tidy! Not here, it is just part of our routine no pressure!
2. Music! The same tune signals an end to the play session, after a verbal message given that it is soon to be tidy up time. The music drops and we have around 2-3 minutes to transition into some tidying. Always the same routine.
3. A gathering - in the carpet room. A coming together to share a story, biscuits and bubbles before a sticker and bye bye.
4. Story! Always! Sometimes short, sometimes long. I guage the vibe of the group and choose accordingly sometimes.
5. Biscuits (helps as a little welcome distraction from the play, a reason to slow down for a moment or two) . Who knew kids loved a Rich Tea as much as mine.
6. Bubbles ! To music! We really do like to put on a show here. Again a welcome distraction and lots of bubbles popping and laughing! Could bore you with all the benefits bubbles bring but whatever the benefits. We do it!
7. Sticker and a thank you for coming to play. Don't worry if you don't like stickers, no pressure.
Now we are gathered in the nearest room to the shoes and door. I have maximised all potential I have to limite distress when leaving. Although yes it can happen, the Mill is such a fab space.
Totally biased but true!
Come and play soon!
