I am very pleased to announce that Dave Tonge, 'The Yarnsmith of Norwich' will be, by popular demand, back for a third year 'Story Telling' at the Leigh Folk Festival. This will be on Friday 28th June 2019 in St Clements Church, Leigh Broadway, Leigh-on-Sea. Essex. Commencing at 8pm. This year Dave will be presenting his acclaimed storytelling production 'Hero Tales from the East'.
The evening is a free event which has been sponsored as always, by local business CME Personnel Consultancy Ltd.
Also the following morning, Saturday 29th, Dave, author of Norfolk Folk Tales for Children, will be storytelling for children in the church, for a spellbinding hour of 'Comic Tales for Kids' from 10.30 am. Again this is a free event.

Now I have chilled and got my thoughts together and have spoken to a number of people I am now convinced that Sunday evenings Folk Carol Service at St Clements Church in Leigh-on-Sea was a great success. This is with out a doubt due to the excellent performances of all the participants and the wonderful response of the congregation/audience at such a splendid location. My sincere thanks to everyone including the church volunteer catering staff and my wife for her delicious homemade mince pies. I'm told her Wassail drink was also pretty good as well.
Thank you everyone and I sincerely wish you all the joys of the season and A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

Wonderful Professional Storyteller and good friend DAVE TONG (The Yarnsmith of Norwich) will be regaling us with his stories with his TALES of an ITINERANT TELLER which is a celebration of highs and lows of Dave's life on the road as a storyteller and takes a wry look at some of the more unusual places he has told, people he has met and mistakes he has occasionally made along the way.
And when and where is this to take place you ask! Well the answer to that is 7.45pm on the 10th NOVEMBER at GALLERY 21 which is situated near to the entrance of the longest pleasure pier in the world. on Southend sea front The evening is put on by SPINNING YARNS THEATRE and there will also be music from the extremely talented ISABEL OLIVER, JAMES FINDLEY and ADAM REES.
