Thanks for visiting this page. Please do come and see us at the real physical Old Leigh Studios Gallery which is generally open Thursday to Sunday from midday until 5pm. Lots of current work by our 5 resident artists. We have ceramics by Julie O’Sullivan (stoneware hand built vessels), Richard Baxter (colourful wheel thrown fine porcelain), Ian E. Smith and Sheila Appleton (many great paintings from these local legends who between them have been painting for over 130 years), and Joe Spurgeon (handsome chunky contemporary jewellery in bronze , silver and also made to special commissions in gold).

Richard Baxter and Julie O'Sullivan are exhibiting their work along with about 150 other potters at Celebrating Ceramics. This takes place at Waterperry Gardens, near Oxford from 11-13 July.

We have lots of paintings, ceramics, cyanotype prints, jewellery and greeting cards in our lovely gallery in Old Leigh. Come to choose some Christmas gifts soon. We’re open late morning til 5pm (not Monday or Tuesday).

We got a nice mention in the Guardian’s Saturday Magaize on 15th July in a piece about walking from Shoeburyness to Old Leigh. They called our place Old Leigh Art Studios instead of Old Leigh Studios Gallery, but never mind. We’re generally open Thursday-Sunday 12-5. Other times by arrangement.

We will be open on Bank Holiday Monday 11.30-5pm
Our big new& retrospective exhibition is still showing at Southend’s Beecroft Gallery until late in May. We’ll worth a visit.
