Former Principal dancer of The Royal Ballet Company, Graham Fletcher is well known for providing the most exceptional standard and quality of classical ballet training in Leicestershire. Therefore parents can be sure that ballet training at Aspire is absolutely of the highest level, and quite different to any regular ballet training, syllabus or exam work. Children and students have the chance to

develop into especially accomplished young dancers, from a very young age. The atmosphere at Aspire is especially welcoming and friendly, with all pupils being positively encouraged to shine, progress, enjoy dancing, and achieve. Born in Bolton, Lancashire he was the Billy Elliot of his time, winning a scholarship to The Royal Ballet School at the age of 11 years old, where he studied before joining The Royal Ballet Company at Covent Garden, London, and becoming a Principal dancer at the very early age of 19. Graham has appeared in many film and television productions with The Royal Ballet Company, and has a number of television credits to his name as a freelance artist, including The Muppet Shows and regular appearances on television's Royal Command Performances. His most notable Muppet Show appearance was as Miss Piggy with Rudolf Nureyev in 'Swine Lake'! Graham was also asked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to take the leading role of 'Mister Mistoffolees' in the smash hit West End hit, CATS and to top the bill in Song and Dance alongside Lulu, Liz Robertson and Marti Webb. Throughout Graham's career he has been much involved with Dance in Education; teaching for the Royal Ballet's Chance to Dance Scheme, Birmingham Royal Ballet's Dance Track, The Royal Ballet School Junior and Senior Associates programmes, and his own Ballet Associates programme. He has helped many of the region’s top young talent springboard their training into some of the top UK vocational schools and onwards into their chosen careers.

Welcome to Dance Activate!

Dance Activate offers a centre of excellence for ballet and dance training with venues in Market Harborough and Wigston. The class timetable is full of options to dance for everyone, ranging from our youngest 'Dance Activate Diddlers' aged from (nearly!) 3 years old through to adults classes, covering beginners, intermediate and advanced levels in ballet, jazz, contemporary dance , tap and musical theatre.

Classes are exceptional quality, taught by director and former principal dancer of The Royal Ballet Company, Graham Fletcher, and his two highly experienced teachers Yvette and Georgia. There atmosphere is especially welcoming and friendly with all young children and students being encouraged to shine, progress and develop confidence. There are also opportunities to take part in workshops, performances or theatre trips and the extremely popular annual summer dance school Ballet ROX!
