Walking around the V&A has helped generate some new ideas and directions for my work to go in. Overall, a successful trip.

Hunting for the beauty in everyday life, Robin’s exhibition ‘Adventure Playground’ does exactly that. The world can be your playground, going on adventures to find beauty even in something that at first seems extremely mundane. The show requires you to pause and observe. The more observation, the more you uncover. Giving you a peek of Robin’s very own adventures, sharing apart of his life, his own playground with you.

It’s something you must see, if you come along to LCB Last Friday you get to experience this with an epic Jungle set from Jon1st.

Hope to see you weirdos there!

LIFE UPDATE*****

Howdy all. I’m very aware that I’ve dropped off the face of the earth over the past few months. Long story short… everything became a big messy blob.

Firstly, I found out a major reason why I’ve been exhausted all the time. Turns out my ferritin levels were on the floor and I’ve got an iron deficiency. For context, low ferritin is generally considered under 30 ng/mL. Mine was 5 ng/mL. 🫠🫠🫠🫠

It’s been a massive contributor to my energy levels, mood, physical health and everything in between. It became so frustrating and tiring needing to sleep after doing the simplest tasks. I’d even get chest pains from walking up the stairs. The whole thing just wasn’t a vibe.

Alongside this, I’ve had a multitude of rejections for funding grants, research trip opportunities, and also arguing with Universal Credit. Normally I don’t take things like this too much to heart as it’s sadly apart of being an artist. This time it’s chipped away at me and my motivation, bit by bit.

The main funding I’m trying to secure is so I can weld again. I’ve missed it so much. It became a massive turning point in my practice during my MA, and it’s the itch I just can’t scratch right now. I haven’t been able to weld for over a year.

All of these rejections have made me realise I’ve kind of fallen out of love with my work. I still love painting, but it’s not the main focus of my practice anymore.

I just want to build some obnoxious metal sculptures.

I’ve lost my groove but I’m slowly finding my feet again.

Workshops will be back soon as well. Thanks for your patience 💕

Big love ✌🏻

WHOOP WHOOP! First themed colab workshop with 🧡Join us for a K-pop themed Scrap ‘N’ Yap workshop!
