To honour 100 years of being the city we call home, DIY GALLERY + Art at The Chapel are hosting a 2 week pop-up celebration of artists + musicians with a Leicester City connection
DIY GALLERY is inviting 100 artists to exhibit a piece of work at the city centre Art Gallery + Venue ~
Art at The Chapel, Bishop Street Methodist Church, Town Hall Sq. Leicester, LE1 6AF
Any art form is welcome - 2D / 3D / sculpture / installation / photography / video / digital / performance / poetry etc.
Exhibition Fee ~ £4
(1 artwork per artist - if you are part of a group or collective your work can be displayed together and promoting your services is encouraged )
All artwork can be advertised for sale if you wish at 10% commission.*
Exhibition space is limited and will be subject to selection. You will only have to pay the £4 fee if your work is exhibited.
In the spirit of being open to all - if your artwork is selected and you are unable to pay the £4 fee it will be waived with discretion.
*The fee + commission will be used to promote and grow the gallery and to support the Leicester arts community ~ DIY GALLERY operates on a not-for-profit basis.
As this is a DIY GALLERY event, you are invited to put up and curate your own work alongside other artists
DIY GALLERY is passionate about nurturing community through the arts and the creative space we have available - Art at The Chapel is open to all + everyone is welcome
Application deadline : Friday 28th June
If selected you will need to put up or deliver your artwork to the gallery by 4pm on Friday 5th July

DIY GALLERY does not currently receive any funding + this exhibition is literally run by 1 person (me ! - hi - I'm Leonie :) ) & £0 !
SO - if you recognise the necessity and importance of supporting the amazing Leicester art scene I welcome you to donate your time and/or fundraising expertise to further artistic community - there are lots of volunteer opportunities available.
