We endeavour to create fun, exciting and enjoyable classes each week and encourage growth in self confidence both on and off stage. Our musical theatre classes aim to provide the opportunity to explore new characters and styles of the

atre, whilst also working on voice projection, characterisation, improvisation and build on self confidence, stage presence and overall performance. As a fresh, small family run school we hope to put on showcases each year which all students will participate in and get chance to show off their talents and pieces in which have been worked on each week. As well as annual shows, we are aiming to take part in nearby competitions, carnivals and fun days in and around the Leicestershire area :-)

A little shoutout to this beautiful girl! 🌟

Yesterday in class Sofia was really reluctant to try a back bend onto another students shoulders. These tricks can be very daunting as they involve trust, partnership and confidence. For Sofia, it was her first time being asked to try and immediately she replied with “Miss Khloe, I can’t do that!” 😱

But, we don’t do “I can’t” in our studio. We do “not yet” or “please could you help me try” ❤️

Because a very important step to believing in yourself, is having people believe in you too. And at DBA we truly believe in every single child and their potential. Sometimes, that gentle push is absolutely needed, but we also know when it’s right.

Sofia gave it ONE try. Unassisted (because we were certain that Sofia and her friend could handle it!) and wah lah! She did it! 👏🏻

So a very important lesson was learnt yesterday for all students.. anything is possible if you’re brave enough to try! Sofia was beaming with pride, the rest of our team were equally as happy for her, and we were SO proud.

Well done Sofia. Believe in yourself 🫶🏼

Due popular demand from our students, we decided what better way to end the summer holidays than an enjoyable, relaxed evening making memories together with our dance family! 🫶🏼

Children are welcome to bring a blanket and wear whatever they feel most comfortable in.

Dance is about so much more than steps—it’s about building a community where everyone grows together✨

Our mixed-age classes create opportunities for leadership, friendship, confidence, and learning that extend far beyond the studio. Every child has something to teach, and every child has something to learn.

We want to extend a huge well done to students of our competition team this weekend who took to the stage and performed their solos and duets at Stage Masters Events ✨

We had lots of feedback from our girls in classes last night who expressed how much they enjoyed this festival, despite being novice dancers against so many open level competitors who were truly outstanding and a joy to watch! (Well done to all participating dance schools - your dancers have totally inspired our girls 👏🏻)

It’s always daunting when our students attend new festivals as we very often stick with our usuals. But we popped in some last min entries, had a blast, came away with some great results and most importantly, made memories!

As principal, I’m beyond proud to watch our students shine on stage doing what they love, and even more thankful that we get to be a small part of such a wonderful journey. Girls, the compliments we receive about you are always so lovely and beyond the medals and awards it’s these comments that matter the most because reputation is always equally as important.

Continue to be proud of your journies, enjoy these experiences, make others smile and feel supported, be humble, don’t be scared to cheer for every single dancer, and always be kind. ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who has enrolled with us this year. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support from our dance family and community.

We do not advertise, and so we take pride in knowing that our capacity is through word of mouth, which really does mean a lot! So thank you all.

Highest marked Greek solo award 🏆

For the past four years, Emmie has shown incredible determination and resilience, continuing to work hard despite not always placing in dance competitions. Through her unwavering commitment, countless hours of practice, and refusal to give up, she has now begun to see the rewards of her dedication.

This festival, Emmie achieved a milestone by being awarded the trophy for the Highest Marked Greek Solo. Just one mark difference to the highest mark of the whole festival. Her success is a testament to the power of perseverance and is truly an inspiration to our team that hard work and belief in yourself can lead to great achievements.

Well done Emmie, not only are you a pleasure to watch, you are also a pleasure to be around. ❤️✨
