🥳WE ONLY SOLD EVERY SINGLE SEAT OUT 🥳

An Asian Occasion began at the Leicester Comedy Festival. We started in a 50 seater venue. 4 years later, we’re selling out a 100 seater room. This is special.

The night was amazing as always but there was something in the air. All the acts were brilliant. But our special audience was the star of the night. They were up for it right from the start.

An Asian Occasion keeps growing and we’re so excited for what the future holds. We’ve collaborated with festivals, taken the show to the Edinburgh Fringe and hosted touring international comedians. Who knows what the future holds?

All that we do know is that we couldn’t have done it without your support. So please tell your friends, share the posts and enjoy the shows so we can do even more of them and make them bigger and better! ❤️

An Asian Occasion is back for Leicester Comedy Festival 2026!

We’re so excited for our first show of the new year. We’re back. Leicester Comedy Festival is back. And guess who else is back?

Well it’s none other than Shazia Mirza! 😦

You might have seen Shazia on TV. She’s a star on Celebrity Masterchef, Richard Osman’s House of Games and Celebrity Apprentice. But she’s probably most famously known for headlining An Asian Occasion back in December 2023.

Osman is a 🇬🇧 British-Pakistani 🇵🇰 who says it how it is and is generally okay with it. His brand of dry but quirky wit and relaxing presence makes him a crowd favourite at comedy clubs across the country. He is the resident MC at his own show “Student Kitchen Comedy Club” 👌🏾. He keeps audiences entertained online as well with his social media presence amassing over 4000 followers and 1 million views across platforms 🤩.

Faizan is a Manchester-based comic who moved to the UK as a child, his well-crafted jokes make light of growing up in an immigrant household and the inevitable mental health challenges it brings.
