Opened in 2008 by Her Majesty The Queen, our award-winning building, designed by acclaimed architect Rafael Viñoly, offers a completely unique visitor experience. Unlike any other theatre in the UK, we have no traditional backstage area. Audiences can enjoy the full theatre making process, peek behind the scenes and maybe even spot an actor or two dashing from the stage to their dressing room or e

njoying a coffee in our Café. Our curved façade is made from 1,192 tonnes of steel and 46000m² of glass. Managed by Leicester Theatre Trust, Curve is a registered charity providing engaging world- class theatrical experiences for our local communities. We enable people of all ages and backgrounds to access, participate in and learn from the arts, nurturing new and emerging talent.

Big on a range of exciting behind-the-scenes opportunities from our upcoming Made at Curve productions, whilst supporting Curve's work as a registered charity.

By bidding you are helping Curve:

👉Give up to 100 young people access to free Curve Young and Community Company workshops every week.
👉Deliver weekly classes for elders and free cabaret performances.
👉Provide 150 fully accessible performances each year - including BSL interpreted, captioned, audio described, dementia-friendly, and relaxed performances.
👉Produce free Community Days for up to 2,500 local people.

Help us deliver our programmes with schools, SEND settings, young people, elders, families and adults through planning and delivering creative workshops, with the opportunity to work on the groundbreaking Shine project, a programme supported by patrons Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters, endorsed by the Children's Commissioner for England.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on ambitious programmes that have positive impacts on the lives of people living in Leicester and beyond.

Yesterday we announced our brand-new, world premiere Made at Curve production, MISFITS TOGETHER, based on the lives and relationship between 20th century icons Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller, with music and lyrics from Dan Smith (Bastille) and Ralph Pelleymounter (To Kill a King), book by Charlotte Bogard Macleod and directed by Nikolai Foster.

The musical hits our Studio Theatre in September 2027 - with tickets on sale from next week - but the score has also been recorded as a studio album and the first single "Oh America", is available now.
