🌎✨ EXCITING NEWS!!! 🤩🤩🤩
We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to share that we have been nominated for a Global Learning Leeds Award!!! 🥹💚

Our very own co founder - Carly has been recognised in the ‘Climate Learning’ category.
Her collection of original songs have been composed with an aim to explore all areas of the climate curriculum - in collaboration with Beechwood Primary School - Seacroft

The awards (that will be held at Leeds Civic Hall
later this month) celebrate individuals and organisations who are inspiring change and leading the way in environmental education, awareness, and action. 🌱🎶

We are so incredibly proud and grateful for this recognition. It means the world to have our work acknowledged and to be part of a community creating a brighter, more sustainable future. 🌍✨💚

The final term is here and that summer magic and joy is in the air!! ☀️

🌟 Sports Days
🎭 End of year school performances
🚌 School trips
🌳 Outdoor learning adventures
🎓 Leavers' activities and assemblies
🎵 Singing blasting through the corridors
🤸‍♂️ Cartwheels on the school fields (the children, not us 🤣)
🍦 Sunshine, smiles and summer excitement… we love it!

There's always something special about the final term - a chance to celebrate achievements, create lasting memories and enjoy every moment before the summer holidays begin.

It's a time to reflect on just how far the children have come; their progress, growth, confidence and achievements over the year.

For us at Ignite, it's also a chance to reflect on what an incredible first full year it has been. We've had the privilege of working across 7 fantastic schools every week, delivering creative experiences to hundreds of young people and we couldn't be prouder or more excited to finish our first year on a high.

Thank you to the incredible teachers we work alongside and the awesome Heads who champion the Arts, our residency programmes and believe in the impactful work we do 🙌🙌

Hold tight for 2026-2027… it's about to get even busier 🤩

The sun is shining, it’s Earth Day and we have composed a new anthem to inspire learning across our schools!!!

Today we are working with every single pupil (all 420 of them) at Beechwood Primary School - Seacroft teaching our David Attenborough inspired anthem ‘Oceans Rock’. It goes into depth about the importance of our oceans- the lungs of the earth, the biodiversity that exists there and the incredible phytoplankton that contributes 50% of our oxygen.

We have loved writing this song and have absolutely loved hearing the children bring it to life even more! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Sneak preview…

We’ve been busy in the office today recording vocals and putting the final touches on our Earth Day 2026 environmental song, ready to share with our schools this Wednesday 🌍🎶

This year, our focus is on the oceans — exploring just how vital they are to life on Earth, from the oxygen we breathe to their role in supporting marine life and protecting our climate. 🌊

We can’t wait for our schools to hear it and start singing along while learning how we can all help protect our amazing oceans.

⚔️ What a day we had yesterday facilitating an action packed Anglo Saxon Day in one of our Wakefield schools 🙌

Jenny led a fantastic day of hands on learning where pupils fully stepped back in time. Not only is she a performing arts maverick, Jenny is also an incredibly talented artist who is always creating amazing sets, scenery and props for our schools.

Yesterday we made shields 🛡️, carved clay using runes and drew fierce Anglo Saxon warriors inspired by the period. We also sang songs to help us remember key facts we have learnt over the term.

To finish, we retold the powerful story of the Binding of Fenrir, exploring how Tiw came to be worshipped as a god of justice, honour and self sacrifice, giving up so much in order to do what was right. 🌟

A brilliant day bringing history to life through immersive education… what we do best 🤩
