🎨🎶 CHAPEL ALLERTON ARTS FESTIVAL IS HERE!

One of North Leeds’ best community weekends is back, with live music, arts, street food, independent stalls and plenty of reasons to spend the whole day in Chapel Allerton.

Expect live music across the weekend, with Sunday bringing two stages of jazz, Latin, blues and big-band sounds.

🔥 CHEF FERN HAS DONE IT AGAIN…

This time with Tori Nori, bringing a Japanese grill with a twist to Leeds, and this was genuinely one of our favourite meals of 2026 so far.

The standouts?

🌶️ Chilli Beef Tower
🥩 A5 Wagyu Beef
🥪 The Katsu Sandos

Big flavours, brilliant presentation and plenty of theatre along the way.

Chef Fern has created something that feels fun, different and seriously memorable without losing sight of the most important bit, the food.

🔥 , a true Leeds institution ✨

Aagrah is one of those places that always hits the mark, and with the Leeds restaurant coming up to its 22nd birthday, it felt like the perfect time to visit.

We tried some of the new menu items, including the Daal Makhani and Kashmiri Butter Chicken, both of which were absolute standout dishes. Rich, full of flavour and exactly what you want from a proper Aagrah meal.

And we have to say it… the cheesy garlic naan might just be one of the best around 👀

Aagrah also offers its buffet for £22.50 per person, available Sunday and Monday from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, making it a great option if you want to try a bit of everything.

There’s also a new private dining area, perfect for parties, celebrations and group bookings.

Sounds obvious… until you’re halfway there and realise one of them is still at home.

Set times, maps and updates all in one place. Screenshot your must-see acts too in case signal gets patchy.

🔋 Power bank
Between videos, photos, group chats and finding your mates, your battery is going to take a hammering.

💳 Card / contactless
is cashless, so don’t rely on bringing notes for food, drinks or merch.

💧 Reusable water bottle
There are free drinking-water refill points around the Arena. Stay hydrated, especially if the sun decides to make an appearance.

🧥 Waterproof + layers
It’s Leeds Festival. Prepare for blazing sunshine, wind and rain… potentially within the same hour. 😂

👟 COMFY SHOES
This is not the weekend to discover your new trainers give you blisters.

🧴 Sun cream
Cloudy Yorkshire skies can still catch you out.

👜 Pack light
If you’re heading into the Arena with a bag, keep it A4 size or smaller. Less stuff also means less time queuing at security.

📍 Choose a meeting point
Pick somewhere obvious with your group when you arrive. Much easier than trying to message “WHERE ARE YOU?!” to six people at midnight.

🍔🍺 Food & drink
There are plenty of places to grab food and drinks throughout the festival, so make sure you actually eat between sets.

👂 Earplugs
Especially if you’re spending the whole weekend close to the speakers. Future you will be grateful.

🚕 Plan the journey home BEFORE you go
Don’t leave transport until the final song of the night when thousands of other people are trying to do exactly the same thing.

Our friends at La Fiesta know how to do a feast 🔥

If you’re a fan of all-you-can-eat Mediterranean small plates, this one needs adding to your list.

Start at the Farmers Table, loaded with olives, salads, cheeses, dressings and plenty more before the small plates start arriving.

Our standouts were the minted lamb, chilli garlic prawns and slow roasted beef cheek — all absolutely exceptional. We’d also highly recommend the grilled halloumi.

And make sure you leave room for the unlimited tiramisu to finish. 🤌
