My what lovely eyebrows... Our fourth star of BACK TO BASICS is 'The Machine' Seamus Doherty: improv extraordinaire and inevitably the next James Bond.

Seamus is a relative newcomer to standup comedy, acting and writing, all of which he took up after retirement, and having attended several courses at Laugh at Leeds. He appeared in the film “The Rest Is Silence" and has also performed in the Play “Our Public House" at Leeds Playhouse thanks to his involvement with Leeds Actors Workshop. He has been honing his comedy improv skills at Leeds Central Improv.

You can see Seamus in action on the 15th of July at Seven Arts in BACK TO BASICS, the new show by Lost Fox which collides scripted plays with improvised comedy.

Rosie (she/they) is a q***r, Neurodivergent writer whose first play Care debuted at 7Arts and Bradford Playhouse in March, shortly after graduating from the University of Cambridge. Her work moves between magical and gritty realism, comic and tragic, emotional brutality and the banal.

Lost Fox Presents 'Back to Basics'

The third writer for BACK TO BASICS is Joe Gallard, who has written the enigmatically titled 'Anne Donaldson Makes a Serious Mistake' which will star Irene Lofthouse, Steve Jandrell and Joe Drye.

Joe is still experimenting to figure out exactly what kind of stories he wants to write. He's had a number of short plays performed in Leeds, Bingley and Ilkley. Having moved to Yorkshire five years ago from the south - he is still adjusting to strangers talking to him unprompted.
