Thanks to everyone who turned out to see Norfolk-based DixieMix tonight. A very entertaining and slick show from the guys and hero of the hour Eugene Farrar who stepped in at short notice to dep.for their trombone player.
Excellent night all round with a standing ovation too!

Our next show is the fab fun trad jazz band from Norfolk…DixieMix. We had a great night with them last year so looking forward to their return visit on Saturday (29th Aug).

The band is a professional six piece excelling with fresh arrangements of many jazz favourites old and new and all with the DixieMix twist. Their enthusiastic approach has helped the band gain national recognition, leading to a tour with Rod Stewart, TV appearances and multiple festival and theatre gigs.

A full house last night at Jazz in the Spa as we were transported back to the 1940’s with the GT Big Band. Great nostalgic programme from the band, who were on top form, with stunning vocals from Michaela Smith and compèred by Andy Henderson.
Our next show is latin jazz collective “Carioca Soul” on the 8th August playing the vibrant sounds of Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66. Vocals from Kate Peters and Jenny Chamberlain-Smith. Hope to see you there!
