At Beat Street Studio we have bridged the gap between the very large and to many people, often unaffordable recording studios and the smaller more affordable but lesser equipped recording studios in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Until now there have not been any recording studios in the city equipped to such a high specification as Beat Street Studio that are still affordably priced. Quite simply we have
brought to Leeds in West Yorkshire the ONLY Neve equipped recording studio on this side of the Pennines. To our knowledge Beat Street Studio is the ONLY recording studio in the whole of Yorkshire that can offer you a Neve recording and mixing facility at possibly the lowest rates in the UK for such a high specification. Our fantastic sounding acoustically designed & air conditioned control room is a very creative environment to work in and will comfortably seat 7 people. We have a fab sounding live room and a dedicated vocal and isolation booth, we also have an integrated office where you can relax and use the Internet, yet still be part of the session. We have wired tie lines to all rooms including our kitchen area, to enable different room sounds when recording your music. There are also speaker lines running to each room sufficient for tracking stereo cabinets, allowing you to leave your amplifier head in the control room to optimise the sound before tracking commences. We have an extensive Neve patch bay system with cues to all rooms and tie lines to the rear of our outboard racks for easy patching of your own preferred outboard when necessary. At the very heart of Beat Street Studio you will find an absolutely awesome Neve V3 36 channel inline console with up to 72 channels available at mix down and dynamics on every channel. The Neve V3 is integrated to Pro Tools 10 HD with superb Black Lion Audio and Digidesign 192 converters interfaced to an 8 core Mac Pro and twin 22” wall mounted widescreens. We have an enviable collection of high end outboard equipment to complement this, please see our equipment list for further information. We have a comprehensive microphone collection including a vintage Neumann U87 and a Coles 4038 ribbon microphone. Monitoring is by Dynaudio M2 and Yamaha NS10 via Crown & Quad amplification. In line with modern times we have a wifi connection with airport express hooked up to the Neve console for easy instant playing of your phone, laptop or tablet through a choice or our monitors. We have even made sure you can listen back to your mixes straight from the Neve console directly into our office hi-fi, so there’s no need to keep burning CD’s and running out to your car for a listen.
