It’s with a heavy heart that I have to share that Love Bites has sadly been cancelled. Due to the passing of a close family member and their funeral being scheduled on the same day as the event, I’ve had to make the incredibly difficult decision to step back and take time to grieve. This wasn’t a decision I took lightly.
Thank you all so much for the continued love and support for Out For Blood - it truly means the world. I hope to see everyone at the next event.

Hey ghouls! 👻 🖤 a little update from me after being a bit quiet…

I’ve been hibernating over the festive season, recharging and plotting - and I’m very excited for our next event, Out For Blood Presents: Love Bites - on 11th Feb 2026🩸💘

We’ve also got lots of exciting plans for Out For Blood in the new year, and submissions are now open for our 2026 festival! If you’ve made a film (or are finishing one), we would genuinely love to see it - submit via the FilmFreeway link in our bio 🎬

On a more personal note: thank you for your patience while I’ve been a bit quieter than usual. I’ve been taking time to rest and get myself ready for something really important - I’m very excited to be taking the first steps in my medical transition in the new year 🏳️‍⚧️❤️

Elena Black (she/it) is a disabled, q***r London-based artist and the producer of - an immersive horror-cabaret show.

A draglesque performer with a deep appreciation for sideshow arts, Elena’s work blends the macabre, the surreal, and the darkly humorous. Known as a Ghoul Fatale, it brings a mix of glamour, strangeness, and horror-infused storytelling to every stage.

Elena has performed across the UK and internationally, recognised for bold, distinctive acts that celebrate the weird, the unsettling, and the wonderfully unique.

🩸 And we have to say… Elena also bears a striking resemblance to our Love Bites poster star - and we promise that wasn’t planned! 😂 The poster was designed by before we even spoke with Elena. Maybe it’s fate? Maybe the forest spirits were guiding us? Either way, the match is eerily perfect…

Thank you again to everyone who came out, supported, gasped, laughed, and embraced this beautifully strange little festival. The love for q***r horror in Leeds was unreal, and getting to bring Out For Blood back to my old stomping grounds meant more than I can say.

Huge love to our filmmakers, our audiences, our volunteers, our venues, and every single person who believes in the importance of q***r stories in horror. You make this festival what it is.

Here’s to more blood, more q***rness, and more community. 🖤✨
