ANNOUNCEMENT:
At the end of August this year Assembly House will cease to operate our second site Lady Beck.
This has by no means been an easy decision to make, however, the pressure of rental increases and the looming redevelopment of Lady Beck and its surrounding area has made it clear that our time at the site is due to come to an end. We still firmly believe that Leeds needs more affordable studio spaces to serve a growing and exciting artistic community, therefore we are committed to using this as an opportunity to do more with our remaining site, refocus our public programme and advocacy for artists in the city.
Lady Beck and its previous incarnation Enjoy, has been an important cornerstone of the creative community in Leeds, providing space to nurture experimental and more accessible creative practices through its studios and project space, whilst advocating for cross-discipline collaboration and a do-it-yourself ethos.
Assembly House invites you to celebrate this legacy with an evening of drinks, music and art. 8pm Saturday 4th August at Lady Beck.
Watch this space for future announcements as Assembly House nears its 5th Anniversary.
