We will be requiring masks for trans pride (unless you are medically exempt)

Slide 2: Text: why now?
We have unfortunately been ignorant in the past, but if we want to advocate for the disabled community, masking is a huge part of this.
Marginalised communities are more susceptible to Long Covid and other health issues. Wearing a mask keeps you and our community safe.
Slide 3: Implementation
If you have your own masks, feel free to bring them! If you donāt, a team member will be by the door handing them out.
We ask you continue to wear your mask in the event space. When drinking or eating, use hand sanitiser after putting your mask back on.
Slide 4: implementation cont
If you havenāt worn a mask in awhile, it is not too late to start! Itās just about getting yourself used to it again.
We also want you all to enjoy your pride weekend - that canāt happen if you get sick on the first night!
Slide 5: A note from me
I have been sick for the past week or so meaning Iāve had to miss out on a lot. I have been barely able to to move and the heat has only made it worse. I cannot help but think if I had worn a mask or other people had when I went out, I may not have gotten sick.ā
Any questions please feel free to ask. We canāt wait to see you on Friday!
