So so humbled at the response the fundraiser has received! It raised £228.25!!!!! The fact that friends, family, strangers, people from all over the world have contributed their hard earned cash when times are tough to help out this tiny space where a small group of folks go to make music happen is fu***ng incredible, so we want to say a humungous thank you to everyone who has put in even the smallest amount of coin, it’s hugely appreciated. Friggin stoked to be able to say that it was a success - we’re paying the fee, the contract’s been re-signed, more bands/people are starting to use the room again, and I didn’t need to dip into my overdraft or borrow anything :D

Also a huge shoutout to the guys in Blue Kubricks for absolutely everything they do for the room and in general

Running a small business based around getting people together to jam in a small room has been expectedly difficult this past 12 months. Our little practice room in Armley, Leeds has been draining funds big time since the pandemic hit - it used to be that rent was covered by 3 bands who practiced regularly, but none of those bands have rehearsed since March 2020, and without being eligible for govt schemes, a large fraction of the rent has been paid out of our own pockets.

The light at the end of the tunnel is here, but the landlords have added another hurdle in the way of us getting back to regular jamming, a £540 re-signing fee. We've tried everything, but there's no getting out of this one, and we can't afford to pay it without loans/credit cards.

So we've put together this fundraiser!! A compilation album featuring 27 Leeds and beyond artists showing off the variety of sick musicians that have come through our creative space. We have 9 UNRELEASED brand spankin new songs from Fielding, Hamer, Dancehall, Fern Veh, Blue Kubricks, Fehlt, and heaps more! Pay anything from £1 :)

We're looking for a band to join the HoL family!! Along with Polevaulter, Tranqua Lite and WHAT? NAH, you'll get to practice, write and record at our fully equipped rehearsal room between 1-3 nights a week (or all day on weekends)!

The room is in Armley, has plenty of secure storage space, and a full PA system/drum kit/bass amp/mics & cables. For only £110/month, I'd say this is a pretty damn good deal!

Another bonus is that we'll soon be adding a basic drum recording setup, so for no extra cost you'll be able to record your band's music!
