Our FREE VR Cinema at will run from 14-19 April at Leeds City Museum โšก๏ธ

Films include:
๐Ÿ  Drop in the Ocean - immersing you in the deep sea.
๐ŸŒ๏ธ When Something Happens - exploring the origins of the universe.
๐Ÿ’ก Step into The Museum of Imagined Futures - stepping forward in time to imagine how humans and technology might live.

All sessions are free to attend, just book with us at Leeds City Museum when you arrive. and VR experiences are suitable for ages 7+.

New additions to ! โ€ผ๏ธ See two short, immersive VR films for FREE from award-winning Germany-based studio LAVAMACHINE, available only on Wednesday 15 April. ๐Ÿ’ซ

LAVAMACHINE are made up of two independent animators and illustrators who create and share unique VR experiences.

LAVAMACHINE films include:
๐Ÿ™ Monster - a creature hides in a human disguise to fit in, but a visit to a swimming pool starts to unravel his true self.
๐Ÿ›’ Reincarnation Mall - after passing away, Mr. Grump finds himself re-born in a shopping mall, where karma points can buy him a new life.

Today was the first day of Movie Club at ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ๐ŸŽจ

Big thanks to all the future filmmakers who joined us along with at the today. We saw so much creativity in every session! ๐ŸŒŸ

Movie Club days include workshops covering camera tricks and tips, costume and special FX makeup, stop motion animation and more - along with family film screenings. You can book individual workshops for children, or multiple so they can stay for the whole day. ๐ŸŽž๏ธ

Weโ€™re back for day 2 of Movie Club tomorrow, 9 April. Todayโ€™s sessions sold out fast, so donโ€™t wait to book your space! ๐Ÿ‘€

This weekend, we took over The Hyde Park Picture House for two full days of family films, creative activities, special guests, short films, free tote bags and more. ๐Ÿ’ซ

Thanks so much to all the young audiences and families who made our screenings so special! There's still so many hand-picked family films left to screen at LYFF, at venues around Leeds including Howard Assembly Room Keighley Picture House Cinema , Rex Cinema Elland and Plaza Cinema Skipton Ltd ๐Ÿฟ

This week, don't miss the return of Movie Club at the Carriageworks Theatre from 8-9 April. In collaboration with Screen Yorkshire , Movie Club is the perfect chance for young, creative kids (8+) to learn proper filmmaking tricks and tips, from real industry professionals! Workshops include camera work, costuming, special FX and stop-motion animation. ๐ŸŽฌ

Head to The Hyde Park Picture House tomorrow for an autism-friendly screening of Hola Frida! - a colourful animation about using our imagination and embracing our differences. โœจ

Hola Frida! paints a vibrant picture of the little girl who would grow up to be one of the worldโ€™s most famous artists, covering her early years after contracting childhood polio.

You can also get creative yourself before the film with a fun colouring activity inspired by the characters. ๐ŸŽจ
