It comes from very hard, thoughtful work from brave actors who fearlessly lay out their soul for you to connect with.

*** OUR AUTUMN 2026 SHOW ***
Bryan here: I just put this book down and I am at a complete loss to describe how much this novel has overwhelmed me.

It's plain to any reader that Emily Brontë didn't write a love story. Filmmakers chop off the second half of the book and that minimizes her genius. It is Greek tragedy + Psychological horror story + a mind-bending metaphysical and spiritual journey.

So it's up to theatre to show what's at the core of this story: coercive control. We'll be working with academic experts from York on exploring this theme with the characters and we can't wait to take the true experience of the magnificent 'Wuthering Heights' to audiences through an immersive experience during Halloween week.

MEET PJ GREGAN
Don’t you love it when an actor seamlessly blends into his character?

Patrick James Gregan (playing the role of Peter, a book publisher in 'The Zoo Story') has played many Shakespearean roles, including stepping in recently to learn Demetrius for MSND.

But he’s also a Board member of the Wakefield LitFest. And his literary and philosophic tastes run from the Brontes to Cormac McCarthy, Stoicism, Jungian psychology and Physics.

Is your head spinning like ours? It certainly will when he unleashes his ‘Peter’ on unsuspecting Yorkshire audiences. Be warned…
