We are seeking a diverse groups of participants with a wide range of perspectives -- all voices are welcome and will be heard. The event will be led by facilitators who are skilled at bringing people together from different points of view.
What to expect:
-You will wear a virtual reality headset for part of the experience.
-Monitors will be on hand throughout and if you wish to exit the virtual environment at any time you will be able to do so.
-You may encounter people whose views differ from yours on certain topics.
-You will not be told that your views are incorrect, or be asked to change your opinions.
-You may be interviewed, photographed or video recorded during parts of the session.
Who should participate:
-People who have strong opinions but also a desire to better understand the feelings and opinions of people who see things differently to them
-People who want to have an impact in public debates about issues that matter to them
-People who feel that their perspectives are silenced or under-appreciated in the mainstream media are especially encouraged to join
Participation is limited to 6 people per day. The event will take place in Leeds on December 10, 12 and 13. Refreshments will be provided.
