A talk by Chris Wood

Explore how oil painting changed the world of art, through a story of invention, espionage and the pursuit of realism and Old Master technique.

Today we said goodbye to our lovely Ella, and it’s safe to say the whole team is going to really miss her.

Over the past 18 months, Ella has brought so much energy, enthusiasm, creativity and care to everything she’s been part of.

From the beautifully curated exhibitions, to the warmth and attention she gave to North Art members and everyone who visited, her social media savvy, all the creative touches she brought to the building, and of course not forgetting the perfect latte art on her flat whites! Ella will leave her mark in so many ways.

Ella has been a special part of Northlight Leeds | Artist-Led Creative Space , north art .stars and the new Chapel Allerton Arts Centre story, and we know many of you will want to join us in thanking her for everything she has brought to this building and place.

We’re very sad to see her go, but so excited to see what comes next for her.
We just know she’s going to smash it - whatever she does!

Thank you Ella for bringing something truly special.
You’ll be very much missed.

It’s Saturday 26th Sept and our Cellar Destash Sale is about to throw open its doors!

There are some real bargains to be had - from wreath making supplies to natural yarns, display stands, exhibition, paints, paper, shop plinths and more!

Doors open at 11am and we will be here till 3pm

If you’re in the area pop down, bring a shopping bag and enjoy a good old fashioned rummage through our collections of art and craft supplies.

Applications for our Christmas Market are now OPEN!

Come and join us on Saturday 28th November at Northlight Leeds and Chapel Allerton Arts Centre, for a day of handmade gorgeousness, festive cheer and community spirit!

We’re on the lookout for talented artists, makers and independent creatives to fill our market with beautiful, original goodies.

What a wonderful start to our autumn/ winter art history programme!

Last night’s Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera talk drew in a full house.

Thank you to everyone who came along, listened, enjoyed a glass of w**e with us and discussed the work of two major artists whose turbulent marriage inspired much of Frida’s work.
