✨ APRIL OVERVIEW ✨

What an amazing month it has been for everyone at DAZL! 💜🌈

Throughout April, our dancers, young leaders and community groups have been out across Leeds performing, learning, supporting others and creating positive memories together. From holiday activities and dance exams to community performances and partnership events, we are so proud of every young person involved. 👏

Here are just a few highlights from the month:

🧑‍🩰Delivered Dance & Change 4 Life activities during the Leeds Healthy Holidays programme
🏅 175 dancers completed their IDTA dance exams
🪩 LS9 Club Richmond Hill enjoyed an unforgettable experience at FRESH
🏆 DAZL Inclusive were awarded Runner Up Team of the Year at the Yorkshire Disability Sport Awards.
🎉 Celebrated International Dance Day by performing at Middleton Park Lodge Nursing Home

At DAZL, community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe dance brings people together, builds confidence and creates brighter futures for young people across Leeds. 🌟

A huge congratulations to our newly qualified professionals on achieving their IDTA Freestyle Associates qualifications! 👏💜

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, commitment, passion and determination shown throughout this journey. Every hour of training, studying and dedication has truly paid off.

A very special thank you to our examiner Rachel Almond from the International Dance Teaching Association (IDTA) for your support and professionalism throughout the examination process.

Massive appreciation also goes to our Freestyle Principal, Steven Wilson, whose coaching, guidance and encouragement supported our newly trained professionals every step of the way. Your knowledge and dedication continue to inspire the next generation of dance teachers. 💫

We would also like to thank the Leeds Community Foundation – Leeds Fund for supporting this training opportunity and investing in the future development of our DAZL family.

What an incredible weekend for DAZL Youth Company at the Rebellious Dance Promotions Weekender! 🖤✨

We are so proud of our professionally trained dancers who represented DAZL with such strength, confidence and professionalism throughout the whole competition. Every performance was full of passion, energy and powerful storytelling that truly captured the audience. 🔥

The dedication and commitment this team shows week after week is amazing to see, and their development continues to grow every time they step onto the stage.

From rehearsals to performances, the teamwork, discipline and support they have for each other never goes unnoticed. 💛

This weekend was about more than results, it was about believing in yourselves, performing with confidence and showing the hard work behind every routine. DAZL Youth Company did exactly that and made everyone incredibly proud.

A huge well done to all of our dancers, staff and supporters for continuing to build such a talented, inspiring and professional team together. The future is bright for DAZL Youth Company! ⭐
