What a lovely Bone Down!

Was great getting back into it and with so many of you too!

Thanks so much again to our excellent spotlight artists and and to all our lovely open miccers.

We had new voices, old favourites, blinding sun, cake and bread rolls plus the first outing of the Bone Down Mobile.

I look forward to seeing you all again for the next one.

If I've not tagged you, just comment and I'll add you on.

Bone Down 18 was really beautiful!

Despite the rain, it was a great crowd so a big thanks to all who came and braved the weather. I think the rain added a little something with us all taking shelter literally and also with each other's words.

Thanks to our excellent spotlight artists .musicandwords and You guys were awesome!

And thanks to all our excellent open miccers. I got photos of everyone except Elizabeth (sorry, I was just listening hard 😭.)
If I haven't tagged you and you'd like to be tagged, let me know! I probably just can't find ya

Bone Down tonight!

We're in Dartmouth Park in Morley
Full address: Lewisham St, Morley, Leeds LS27 0JX

From the map above, you'll see there's an entrance to the park on Lewisham street and two entrances on St Andrews Avenue, one of which is on the corner of Park Avenue too.

We'll be meeting at the bandstand. That's marked on the first map by the rows of grass verges.

There are proper paths throughout the park and a long ramp to get up to the bandstand. The plan is the event will take place in the bandstand but we can move as appropriate for the amount of people.

Do ask us any questions! Other information about parking and accessibility will be readily available online and I'm happy to help. I'll be getting there about 6:30 to set up so should be around from then too!

Bone Down Spotlights: Liam Sullivan and Natalie Cooper!

Liam Sullivan is a poet, writer and musician. Liam’s work looks at the pitfalls that creatives face as the pressures and responsibilities of life increase.
He also runs his own creative workshops under the banner Cultivate.

Natalie is a 32 year old ADHD-riddled nightmare of a poet, who writes a lot of poems on the bus. Her work covers themes of adulthood, identity, q***r life and rather a lot of stuff about the sea.
In her spare time, she is one of the organisers of Bi+ Leeds Social Group, a keen community events organiser, occasional workshop facilitator, and zine maker.

Get down on the 23rd to see their stuff!

Bone Down 16 was really special.

We had excellent spotlights from and , birthday cake and a hearty open mic.

My own heart is very full and appreciate of everyone who came to this one and continues to come to Bone Down. It was really great to hear a lot of new attendees (or Bo**rs as we say in the biz) say that they're looking forward to the next one!

I think we can all look forward to lighter and warmer evenings to read poetry in.

All of the good pictures were taken by and the rubbish ones are mine.
