🌿 FESTIVAL OF WOOD & COUNTRY CRAFTS 🌿
Sunday 4th October | 10am–4pm | Bakewell
If you’re into beautifully made things, natural materials, traditional skills and independent makers, put this one in the diary.
I’ll be heading to Bakewell Agricultural Business Centre with Otter Moon Design for a day celebrating craftsmanship in all its forms — from ancient techniques and heritage skills to contemporary makers putting their own spin on traditional materials.
Think wood, willow, leather, textiles, lino, paint, furniture, carving, pyrography and more — with makers actually demonstrating their skills throughout the day.
✨ What’s happening?

It’s the kind of event where you can watch something being made, talk to the person who made it, discover a new craft and leave with something genuinely special.
There’ll be plenty to browse and buy too — beautiful, useful, curious and completely handmade things, from makers who know their materials and their craft.
And honestly, I think that’s what makes this one particularly lovely. 🌳
In a world of mass-produced stuff, there’s something pretty brilliant about spending a Sunday surrounded by people who are still making things slowly, skilfully and properly.
Come for the craftsmanship.
Stay for the browsing.
Leave with something you absolutely didn’t know you needed. 😉
